I shied away from the game when it launched, and some scars still remain, but that game and the DLC might be one of the best experiences I've ever had. You ever finish a game and just stare at your desktop background? That was me. Buy the game.

This game has done so much for me, but thats personal bias. Cyberpunk 2077 launched as a monument to everything wrong with game development, rushed, buggy, ugly, just mechanically broken. It was called every name in the book, cashgrab, garbage, etc. However, these devs show so much love for this game, its incredible. The past 4 years have been spent making the game better day in and day out. Polishing and refining their original vision for the world of Night city. What we have today is a spectacular single player experience, an incredible story with heavy themes. With great gameplay to boot. Gunplay is satisfying, progression feels real and organic; at no point do you ever feel over or underpowered. The experience just feels balanced. This game is genuinely what i consider to be the best Single player game of all time.

As we get older, playing games feels boring, even though there is something exciting in the game, at least 1-3 hours then we will feel bored again, but it's different with this game, once you play 1 hour you will definitely be attached and really want to spend the whole day playing this game. This game succeeded in making me feel like a child again who used to spend all my time playing iconic games and I want to say a special thank you to whoever made panam (I'm not that rich to buy this game easily, I made the decision to buy this game for days, but when I bought it, it was definitely worth the price,)

Probably my favorite game ever, Cyberpunk is a game I'll always be coming back to. This game means a lot to me, and has seen me through some rough times. The world is comforting in a way, even though the oppressive atmosphere of the Corporation ran world is weighing down everything. Much like real life, you find comfort in the people you meet along the way. These characters are written so well that it's impossible not to resonate with at least a few, in their beliefs or struggles. How they view the world and how they wish the world were different. It can sometimes be very heavy stuff, this game holds no punches. Immersion is king. No game matches the feeling driving in Night CIty listening to the radio taking in the vibe. Night City is the most well crafted City in any game, period. The sense of scale is mind boggling, and whether you're walking among the skyscrapers or the skyline is just on the horizon the artistic design and scale is nothing short of a masterpiece in itself. Not one part of the map feels the same, and there will always be new things around the corner each playthrough. The gunplay is not often talked about enough, and I think that's a shame. I think Cyberpunk has some of the richest and most satisfying shooting in any first person shooter recently. Cyberpunk gives you the tools and the variety to become an unstoppable killing machine, but you have to put yourself together. The combinations in gun types and projectile types mixed with melee weapons, mixed with the plethora of absolutely ridiculous movement abilities on top of the dozens of overpowered cyberware that's been recently added to the game it's no wonder you're a legend in the city. Guns all have many different reload animations, which I personally love when a FPS has this. Seeing the same reload animation an entire game kills my immersion. The soundtrack is one of my favorites, both the score and most of the radio. There are some really good songs that are guaranteed to raise your adrenaline given you've got the volume up, and you should. The sound design is superb, as an audiophile I can't NOT have this game's volume maxed out. Some of the music will no doubt ruin your accuracy from all the head bobbing, especially in the Phantom Liberty expansion. The amount of support this game has gotten post release is impressive, and I'm not including getting the game up to an acceptable point. The game shouldn't have released on past gen consoles, and there were a lot of issues I had with the game immersion wise that have been nearly fixed entirely. There's some bugs here and there but it's not going to ruin your experience anymore. This game is a feat. With how much is packed into this relatively small space, Night City, making it the most dense urban environment in games I understand that bugs will happen. This game is beautiful, not just visually but in what I've taken from it. This story and especially Phantom Liberty have hit me so hard it'll stick with me for forever. And with how varied the gameplay can be, with how many different endings there are and an almost unlimited modding platform Cyberpunk 2077 isn't leaving my PC anytime soon.

Looks like skipping this game for the first 3 years paid off, since the Witcher games have taught me that it's always better to wait for an "enhanced edition". Maybe Cyberpunk 2077 had a shaky start, but as of this version and all the revisions, with the expansion, this game is an absolute masterpiece. I've loved the Cyberpunk 2020 setting for three decades, Transmetropolitan is one of the best graphic novels ever and I've watched Fight Club more times than I can count. I didn't expect to see all of them reflected in the game. I still didn't expect I'd love Cyberpunk 2077 this much, but it totally got me. These days, basing a massive game (with a major budget) on 30+ years of old RPG lore just doesn't happen. I was falsely under the impression that 2077 would be a soft reboot, since the attitude of "this much backstory could be a burden in attracting new players, so let's just scrap the old lore" is so common these days. (Fuck you, James Workshop.) I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that pretty much all of the stuff from Cyberpunk 2020 is still canon and even a major part of this game's main story. If you want maximum appreciation of the setting, in the Steam version's bonus content you can find a complete scan of the Cyberpunk 2020 original rulebook. While most of this time capsule will make you appreciate the details of 2077 worldbuilding, I'd recommend at least reading the short story/adventure "Never Fade Away", originally published in 1988. The last time I got this emotionally invested and immersed with a game's story and characters was probably back with Mass Effect 2. The Witcher 3 got close, but I like Cyberpunk 2077 even more. The saying "In Cyberpunk, there are no happy endings" is quite true. Half of the possible endings had me in bittersweet tears and the rest were so cripplingly depressing they should come with a medical warning. As it should be. Case never saw Molly again. One other thing about this game that I don't think has been emphasized enough is the music. It's also something that nobody's dared to do. Instead of licensing famous old 80s/90s hits for nostalgic emotions (like pretty much any movie trailer these days), the music in this game is original. There's something closer to 15 hours of new music and radio stations in this game and it's performed by actual artists working under Cyberpunk pseudonyms, with the titles and lyrics in-universe. Hell, they've even recreated some of the bands and tracks referred to in the old RPG books. While this is already quite insane, the soundtrack just bangs with really diverse genres represented, from black metal to obnoxiously cute lazrpop. I don't think anyone has ever done musical justice to a fictional setting this well. This would be worth the price just so you can ride your motorcycle around the massive, detailed city (or ride the metro, I guess) while listening to the radio stations and soaking in the ambience of Night City. This game is one massive love letter to one old cult RPG and it's so weird that it isn't actually made by greedy corpocunt suits who just want to chase profits. Work of art, really. Thank you, CD Projekt and Mike Pondsmith.
