Finally!!! It has been a while since I played an Idea Factory / Compile Heart game that I could actually recommend. They got really, really, REALLY grindy there for a while and there were fewer and fewer positive aspects of the game. Granted, this game isn’t perfect. There are a couple of technical issues, like the audio cracking. It takes a long time to load and sometimes the game gets stuck in the loading screen. Once I had to reboot my computer to fix the issue. Adding the long load times to the unskippable logos, it takes a full minute to start the game. Secondly, the AIs had issues. They would sometimes get stuck on ledges or doorways and they would never avoid massive attacks. This was a particular issue with the final Cheetah fight. There are some fights that you can’t deal damage until you break the enemy’s armour; however, the AIs would never concentrate on doing that, so it was up to you. They would sometimes use skills that dropped the boss’s armour by nearly half in one shot, but that would happen very rarely. It’s frustrating, not challenging. Speaking of frustrating, the bosses had way too much hit points and armour. This didn’t make the fights challenging, it just made them boring, especially since the AIs would almost never help breaking the armour. Another issue is the equipment upgrade system. Fully upgraded equipment will actually be stronger than the new equipment’s starting level. However, you will get new equipment a few levels before you can upgrade it, so it is initially weaker. There’s only 13 levels in the entire game, so you won’t even upgrade your final equipment until after you’ve beaten the main story. And even if you go after all of the post-game content, you will still not get the material you need for the best gear until after you get 100% of the achievements. Very strange. That said, it was still a very fun game with the usual Neptunia humour and fun gameplay without the major glaring issues. No frustrating crafting issue, no multi-day grind for a single achievement, no impenetrable mechanics that require guides to deal with, etc.

This game is a wild ride, like if Sword Art Online got hit with a skibidi, then rizzed up some anime girls and tossed in a bunch of gyatt-level nonsense. You’re gonna laugh your ass off at how much they make fun of themselves, and half the time you’ll wonder if anyone at the studio was even sober when they wrote this shit.

[Cons] - Buggy AIs: that means your teammates are bashing into walls and bosses are just standing still - Also, it means your healer might be bugged as well, so make sure you buy potions - Main story ends at around Guild Rank 6, but you still have Rank 7 & 8 to get 100% achievement, and you're expected to grind the same levels over and over again [Pros] - Story is ok - It's better than most spin-offs if not all of them - There's still grinding, but it doesn't feel as tedious as other games in the franchise - If you buy this game during sale, I think it's a good bang for your buck, coz you probably need 50+ hours to get 100% achievement/completion, if not longer - Taking a step back, exploiting dumb AI could be a fun thing? :/

Very good Neptunia game, love the new assets, and the music and story were unironically decent, but the repetition is real. Don't play this game hoping for variety, you will be disappointed. Also, I definitely had baseline specs for this game and it still ran at like 20 fps, but then again, this is a laptop with integrated graphics, so take that as you will. Either way, loved the new costumes, spammed Uni with reckless abandon... and waited 20 hours for a skill achievement to pop that never did. This game is not perfect... but it was worth the 10 bucks I spent.

The game is quite easy to pick up. I fumbled with the controls for a bit but got used to it. Story and animations and quite nice and captivating (although corny at times haha). Since this a Neptunia game, the 4th wall may as well not be there xD. If you speedrun dungeons and quests, you can 100% the game in a solid 25 hours. Unless you want to restart and NG+ it, then it's all g. 8/10, just wish it was a tad bit longer and endgame wasn't boiled down to spamming awakening moves.
