the game is pretty fun, its a good alternative to neon white; its better in some ways worse in others, but the biggest change they need to make is adding in a friends leaderboard. tbh that was the biggest thing for neon white, my friend and i basically only raced against each other and it was super fun to one up each other consistently. competing against global times isnt that engaging compared to competing against your friend

amazing game, but watch out if you are trying to 100% it, the achievements "Relief at last" and "Just a few more frames" are swapped, meaning you still have to do both of them, you just get the other one when you complete one of them

One of the most competent speed-running games I've played. It's highly addictive and almost too short for my taste since there's little to no incentive to replay it and get better times - the thresholds for 3 stars are very generous for this genre. The devs know what they do (most of the time) and clearly put a lot of creativity into the levels. However, there is one thing I consider a cardinal sin in level design that I absolutely need to criticize: Many levels are confusing just for the sake of being confusing. For instance, some obstacles are transparent when there is no reason for them to be transparent, thus adding a lot of unnecessary visual noise and obfuscating the path forward, making success a matter of memorization and luck rather than skill. Similarly, there are some "inside" levels where all the walls have the same color, giving you no visual indicator of where the level continues. You'd think that, over a decade after its release, games finally learned from Mirror's Edge. You kinda get used to that though and it's only a real issue in some of the levels. Get the Lost Numbers Edition, which is cheaper than the standard edition and bundled with the DLC. The DLC adds over 30 levels (about 50% of the content of the main game) and introduces some new mechanics. But don't, and I emphasize, under NO circumstances, bother with the final boss in the DLC. It constantly bugs out, making it a frustrating mess not worth anyone's time - see the Mixed reviews for the DLC for details. It's insane that the devs have never patched it, especially when considering the high quality of the remaining game.
