Overall its a good game, but is definitely not for everyone. I have put in a good amount of time and it can be pretty addictive once you start figuring out that path you want to take, but it does take a bit to figure out what you are supposed to be doing and why/how. Once you find your rhythm though, this game has wonderful charm and mystery. I know they have the warning that there is no tutorial, but I do think the game would benefit from having some kind of direction to help new players. Trial and error that causes multiple restarts of a whole run is not my personal favorite way of learning. But I have enjoyed the game for the most part and will be checking out other titles from this developer.

*sigh* I wish i could give the game a Mixed rating of my own... I both love it and hate it. I've never one a single game to date. I love the challenge but think it may be sometimes a little... too challenging? No, oblique is probably the better word. It's hard to connect logic to a lot of the cards and puzzles and the game is punishing enough that you can't get to experiment as much as you'd like. I haven't uninstalled it yet, but I don't know how much longer that will be for.

This is a game about discovery. You like to discover things, right? Recommended for fans of Arthur Machen, Charles Stross, and St. John of Patmos. Best experienced completely cold. Don't look anything up, don't ask anyone about it. Just jump in and let it consume you. I'll tell you for free that it contains no jump scares and very little graphic gore or violence. That said, it is very much a horror game.

This game is for you if you can get past the lack of a tutorial and love reading. I've seen a LOT of reviews saying that just because you don't know what to do the game isn't worth a shot, and if you aren't looking for a challenge, that is very true. But for those willing to push through failure and to learn from mistakes, this game, and the universe it takes place in, can be utterly fascinating. Not to mention that the modding community adds so much depth and QoL changes to the game that can easily enhance your playtime by hundreds of hours. I may only have 182 hours on this profile, but I wouldn't be surprised if I've clocked over 500 on this AND mobile combined. Also, the TTRPG they made is fun, and for all the TTRPG nerds who want it, I suggest at the very least getting the PDFs.

8/10. This is a board game style management strategy game. The game itself and many people online claim that this game is best played blind, and that figuring things out is part of the experience. Personally, I was ready to give up playing the game and looked up the guide as a last chance, and my enjoyment has massively increased since then. So if you play the game and get frustrated by how hard to figure out everything is, look at a guide. For people like me, the game becomes more enjoyable the better you understand it. There's also some stuff that's just ridiculously hard to figure out without the wiki... like opening the Peacock door.
