This builds very nicely on Rusty Lake Hotel, Rusty Lake Roots and Rusty Lake Paradise so I will focus primarily on where it differs. Pros: Delivers just like the first three did. By far the most claustrophobic of these four, even more so than Hotel. In this one I never once experienced the game thinking I was trying to interact with one thing when really I was trying to interact with another that was close by. Yet another great hook. Emotionally engaging. Cons: As far as game play goes this does not really feature much new, though certainly the memory rearranging was fresh. The combination of live action footage with the distinct and purposefully not very photorealistic art style does clash, though it is fairly infrequent. Strongly recommended

Cube Escape is a true classic of flash games and each game expands on the story. One of my favorite franchises.

A very good game, the puzzles in this game seem to blend to that right level of difficulty and enjoyability, due to the nature of the game you will have to actively go out your way to click and interact with everything since sometimes you just miss something and it makes you search for like 5 minutes when you didn't need to. I think what really made this game shine was the soundtrack/ambiance, it reminded me of that Fatal Frame kind of vibe with how the music feels. Other than that I really enjoyed the story, but that's kind of just expected with the Rusty Lake series, so I was extremely impressed when it blended real-life actors with the in game setting and did it pretty well. it's something that makes this game stand out from the other ones. it certainly has a lot more layers that I need to take time to understand especially considering the alternative endings in this game, it's one of those games you would definitely gain more form playing the other games before it. I don't think you'd really enjoy this coming into the series as your first entry because you'd be mostly just confused since a lot of it's story relies on the fact you were there for it's previous entries this isn't to put down the game I believe this is an added fact, but due to the nature of the first chapter being free I think it's important for me to say that. and just to save time. chapter 2 is just as good if not further adds to my points I already put here.

As always, great art, great puzzles, great story and new interesting mechanics. This time though, they added some twists. The game uses FMV and a short film (you can find on YouTube or within the game through a link) that aid the game and interact with the game. It will give you clues and codes for extra easter eggs, or more story. Similar to an ARG but not quite. It definitely was a great experience. The casting was perfect and so was their acting. Given the different dynamics, the puzzles are even more interesting and a delight to try and solve them. This was divided into 2 chapters, the first one being free and the second a dlc. Technically the full game is just the dlc price. All of their games have a pretty good price for the game play time and content. Again, this is a part of a very story rich series which I fully recommend.
