80 hours in this game and just scratch the surface. Still so much to learn. The first 40 hours in-game time I didn't know what the fuck I was doing. I spend hours watching youtube guides but didn't really understand because it was packed with so much information. I later found this one below and this was a huge help: Beginner's Guide to CK3 Even Grandma Would Understand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujHYkZ0Ba_A&list=PLtLh7oY6l6_85up88dosi7Ih49MHCR0RX&index=1 This video was right video

Game's great. You play not as the country, but as the ruler of the country's family. No other game does it as well, not even close. Ignore the haters. the game rocks.

Oh, where do we even start with the grand tapestry that is CK3? Imagine a game where you can become the medieval ruler of your dreams, and by dreams, I mean those weird ones where you're not sure if you're wearing pants and somehow your neighbor's cat is there advising you on state matters. This game, my friends, is the quintessential blend of strategy, intrigue, and the sort of family drama that would make even the most seasoned soap opera writers go, "Hmm, maybe that's a bit much." First off, let's talk strategy. If by strategy, you mean marrying off your children to secure alliances, only to have those alliances crumble because your son decided he'd rather be a poetry-writing monk than a king. Or perhaps you fancy yourself a master tactician, raising vast armies to conquer your foes, only to have your plans foiled by your own court jester who suddenly pushes you out a palace window. Yes, strategy in CK3 is like playing chess, if the pieces had their own wills and occasionally banged their siblings. And the fluff! Oh, the glorious, wonderful fluff. This is where CK3 truly shines. It's a game where you can start as the King of England and end up as the Emperor of a new Roman Empire headquartered in Damascus, because, why not? The game's depth allows you to explore every facet of medieval life, from the divine right of kings to the divine comedy of trying to manage a realm when your subjects are more interested in gossiping about which noble is sleeping with whom than in paying their taxes. The family dynamics are where the real game is at. Forget about the Holy Land; the real crusade is trying to keep your dynasty from imploding because your third cousin twice removed has a claim to your throne and has decided that now's the perfect time to press it, during an outbreak of smallpox, no less. The game beautifully simulates the intricate relationships of medieval nobility, where you're never quite sure if your brother is your staunchest ally or is plotting to poison your wine because you got the bigger slice of the kingdom from daddy. In conclusion, CK3 is not just a game; it's a lifestyle. It's a masterclass in chaos theory, a tribute to the complexity of human relationships, and a reminder that no matter how grand our plans, they can always be undone by a lustful courtier with a penchant for intrigue. You can play the same start 500 times and get different outcomes each time. Sure, your Guy the XXIV will always be a 400-pound pox-addled beautiful genius, but the way he got there will be different each time. It's the best strategy game ever made, not because of its strategic depth, but because it understands that the real game of thrones is played not on the battlefield, but in the hearts and minds of our pixelated subjects. So, raise your banners, sharpen your wits, and maybe keep an eye on the cat in your dreams advising you. In CK3, anything is possible.

Ck2 had better sound design, the world felt more active and alive with the unique sounds of every torture technique to the sounds of the dying on the streets, and let's not forget DEUS VULT. Every time a character related to you died it played a death sound related to the cause of death. The ui sounds were especially great with sharper effects. I cannot stress this enough, sound design makes a huge difference and i miss the ck2 effects. UI is easier to navigate but some events feel really dumbed down like fighting and simple walking through corridors, ck2 sounds were just so magical, louder and sharper. Still ck3 is a great game and feels like an upgraded version from the previous game. I just wish there was a way to get the audio of ck2 in to this game.
