Played on a Meta Quest 3 utilizing Virtual Desktop: I've played the first two missions and extensively utilized the firing range. The game is genuinely fun, it has a unique use of being able to 'lock' scopes, allowing for active use of sniper rifle scopes and red dots - something I haven't seen in other VR shooters. What I mean is that you can hold a button, such as left trigger, and the red dot 'glues' to your HMD partially, letting it feel like you fiercely snugged the gun up into your shoulder artificially. For Scopes, it lets you use them such as that of, say, COD MW2. The only gripe with the guns I have is that I can't HK slap any HK submachine gun in the game. No slapping the UMP 45 or the MP5, which is kind of sad. It's also hard to "wrap" your arm/hand underneath AK models as the hand does not want to grab the reciever of the Kalishnakov weapons upside down/palm facing ceiling. Most VR shooters don't allow this aside from some extremely rare exceptions thus making reloading the AK 'as expected by training manuals' difficult to do as you have no inversion grip/palm facing ceiling grip, in game. Sierra is like an Arcade "on the rails shooter" where you are "off rail" to a degree. You can freely move, somewhat, in the environments provided and each segment or map/mission is, basically, a small firefight map. This lets the game be action focused, and although Zero Calibur is closer to a COD aesthetic of combat, I feel Sierra is a game definitely worth at least trying once. I use the crouch button myself, but that is somewhat because I am lazy, and somewhat because I don't want to reflexively drive my knee into the floor. Although the game IS an Arcade Shooter, it's not as restrictive as Crisis Brigade 2. I have not played it CO OP. I would like to try it at somepoint.

I met a PSVR player via crossplay while I was just hanging at my shooting range, we were so surprised to find out that someone was still playing this game that we both jumped for joy, expressing the same through our body gesture. We communicated through purely body language, and played hot potato with grenades and other dumb shenanigans at the shooting range and the squad missions. Although we did not talk, he was instantly my best friend and I miss him so much already. This game is just pure unadulterated fun with other players, I wish more people would play this game. None of my friends have VR or this game, unfortunately. Even though this game is dead, and with no players even with cross-play on. I highly recommend this game if you have someone to play with. This game is more of an arcade on-rail shooter where you move from sections to sections, but how you approach those sections is entirely up to you, since you are still able to freely roam around. An example being, you can wield akimbo SMGs with one-handed reload and just walk up to enemies and unload DPS into their heads.

The game is a blast in co-op, especially setting it to "Realism" mode so enemies aren't sponges and neither are you. I nearly shat my pants when the door opened and I turned a corner and a dude with a minigun walks in. 10/10 would shit my pants again https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxI9sruTuR42kn5f076H1F9gdBrtYVRzro

I can confidently attest that this game is a banger. Think Ghost Squad for Wii but VR environments. Nice meaty campaign. Squad missions (mileage will vary with depending on if you have a buddy), horde mode. Weapons feel great. You can customize the amount of having to handle your weapon. You can make it simpler or more complex. It's a great experience I'd recommend to anybody. Though your NPC companion needs an AI pass. Most of the time Raul will simply stand there. Good stuff though.

Based on YouTube reviews I've seen of this game, I expected it to suck. But I've just tried it out today, and it's a blast. There are two things you need to understand going into it; #1 This is not a game like Pavlov, Contractors, Call of Duty, etc. It feels like an arcade cabinet game but modernized into VR. It's not realistic. It's over the top. It would be an adrenaline packed quarter eater if you had to insert quarters to play. #2 It's a lot more fun to play with a buddy. Like an old arcade cabinet with side by side fake guns. That is the feel. If you were expecting a Call of Duty like game, you will be disappointed. It kind of looks like that kind of game, but it doesn't play like that kind of game. Also, YouTube reviewers notoriously only ever play single player and typically give games bad reviews that are really focused on co-op. Often never even trying the co-op play. Co-op is where this game shines the most. Buy it to play with a buddy. It's very pretty and flashy. If you put it on hard difficulties, it is actually challenging. But not in the way a realistic VR FPS would be. It's an arcade game, and you need to use tactics like an arcade game. This game delights the 12 year old boy within me.
