Bought this last night. Already over 3hrs. Rare for me. Haven't heard of this before it popped in my feed, so I'm dropping this to help visibility, but also because it's just a damn good game. Addictive. I must appease the food squares and build the glorious coin engine now. Maybe a nap first. Oh, it's a deckbuilding, engine builder... it's weird, but theres a demo that sucked some time away from me too. THE FOOD SQUARES CALL ME NOW.

silly little crop card game, so far i've only been able to truly cook with flower decks, infinite bees go BRRRR i love the artstyle !! it's satisfying to immerse yourself into :)

I think I played the demo at some point and disliked it, because it looked too simple of a game, to enjoy for me. But having bought this on a discount some time later, I have to tell you I was mistaken. This game is surprisingly deep, especially once you have unlocked all card sets. Unlocking one cardset/feature takes 1 victory from what I can see, and I have won 3-4 times so far in 18 hours of play (with a few losses that were still fun). It's also the first single player card game with very granularly customizable difficulty scaling, as it has rating between 0 - 10000, that scales the amount of money you need to pay each week, to stay in the game. Sounds very boring and maybe simplistic, but the game suggests a new higher rating to you after every win, based on your performance, and let me tell you, I'm at 600-700 ish right now. So if you enjoy the game you probably have enough content in a single mode to enjoy it for as long as you want and there are weekly highscore runs where everyone playing the game shares the same seed, just like in many other rogue like deckbuilders. The strategy, while looking at first like it has very little, is actually very intruigingly complex. And there are probably dozens or hundreds of combos and strategies to go for, especially as some game modes randomly limit the game pool each run, so that you can't rely on the same strategy each game, if a card you used last one was remove this run. Looking forward to see how many hours of fun I get ouf of this game and what this dev will bring in the future.

This is an excellent, family friendly, single player game with no fighting involved. It is card strategy based with crop/crop, crop/animal, and crop/contract synergies. The two things that work against you are your loan and seasonal water changes if you aren't careful. The game ranges from easy to challenging depending on how you choose to play. Those who say the game is easy have no understanding of how to unlock higher levels, though you don't have to do this. You can cap the score/level in regular play, or it will go up automatically as you improve. You can try to bump the score/level higher in regular play if it will allow you to. I expect reviewers saying the game is easy to have beaten the highest achievements to make that claim, which is impossible with the extremely limited play time they have shown in their reviews. I still lack two achievements. I find getting achievements in the weekly challenges to be more difficult than regular play. So I prefer the weekly challenges for achievements. This game has a lot of replay value since the weekly challenges come in trios with limited decks or cards, which adds new challenges, and you will be trying to improve your score/level, although you don't see other players' high scores. The trio challenges are based on the level you are at. Also, the solo developer is quite active and has added two new card decks this year. This game is a great buy at full price. Look at the hours I've put into it.

Fully recommend. I'm a fan of puzzle games that respect your time. It never rushes you - you can take as long as you want on your turns. You can also exit the game whenever you want and come back right where you left off, so it's especially great for letting you play for as much or as little as you want at a time. I've really enjoyed how many different strategies there are for getting strong combos.
