This game does nothing really wrong but also nothing outstanding good. It's from 2014, looks like its a flashgame from early 2000, has some lil funny twists but basically a repetetive gamecore. The weapons bring some variety but 70% of them are pretty weak so you're always chasing after that one of your 3 favorite weapons. Most levels are very easy no matter what diff you pic and some are heavy af no matter what diff.. without some luck and the right weapons and even more luck with the specialdrops you will repeat it 10 maybe 15 times till the drops are in your favor. On sale that game is really cheap so if you feel like you have to own that one wait for a sale, but there are way better twinstickshooters/ even autosurvivors that are more engaging. I'd leave that one but as soon as I start something I finish it if it's not to timeconsuming.. 04/10

Hello dear players! I have played this game back in 2003 (at that time still alternately with friends on a PC and outside of Steam) and still play it from time to time. I have other survival shooter games but this is definitely the most motivating and best ever! I've only played about 78 hours on Steam because I've played it a lot outside of Steam before. You can always play this game. So buy it when it's on sale. + different modes + many perks + Real challenges and increasing levels of difficulty + Worldwide high scores! + Precise, ok perfect controls (tip: mouse and keyboard) + No nonsensical autoaimer game !!! + Real feelings of happiness and crass moments + ... - No Online Coop ... This game is one of my all time favorites games (that's currently 30 out of about 1000) for over 20 years! And I really do play all sorts of things.

This game from 2003 created your so-called "survivors-like" genre, and even made it 146% better. It doesn't need sequel, remaster improved all necessary things. Dont pay attention to the timer, i spent hundreds of hours in this game in 2007 and will spend more. Totally worth all money.

I have a love/hate relationship with 10tons, and this game is a great example of why. Everything feels so smooth mechanically, but the RNG will frustrate you to no end. Wow, my first pickup 6 levels in a row is a submachine gun.

Crimsonland is a worthy top-down shooter that, despite its initial simplicity, boasts considerable depth in its mechanics. Initially, the game may seem lacking in content, but as you progress through the campaign, it steadily introduces more and more content. Ultimately, the game offers a diverse experience, and its progression system opens up new possibilities for the player instead of simply increasing statistics, as many games with meta progression tend to do. It might remind many of very popular game, Vampire Survivors, as there are indeed numerous similar elements. Both games involve destroying hordes of enemies with a top-down camera perspective. However, unlike Vampire Survivors, Crimsonland does not have auto-attacks, and in addition to movement, players must aim, shoot, and reload their weapons. This, in my opinion, makes Crimsonland more dependent on player skill than on building specific character builds, although build creation still plays important role, albeit not as significant as in Vampire Survivors. In conclusion, I recommend Crimsonland to all fans of intense top-down arena shooters who prefer relying on pure gaming skill rather than intricately builds creation.
