Over-the-top cute, quirky game. Nothing gets in they way of it still being enjoyable. An intentionally short experience worth the asking price. Review After 100% Achievements Very awesome survivor-like from a cool dev who you can tell put passion into his game. You can see inspiration from the popular titles already established in the genre, but Cozy Space Survivors has its own feel and vision. This game is designed to be a shortened version of what a lot of these types of games are, so you can expect to fully complete it within 2-4 hours. You play as a ship who travels through space to meet other NPCs and complete quests while also fighting enemies with a variety of unique weapons. Collect chocolate chunks around the map to invest in permanent upgrades for your ships after each run. Each ship you unlock makes for a different experience, with the “Brizzel“ ship being my personal favorite because it can be turned into a complete tank equipped with eight weapons and an endless supply of health. Can’t beat the price and I would totally pick up DLC if it’s released in the future! Disclaimer on play time: I tried out the demo of Cozy Space Survivors for 2 hours a few months ago, so I already got an idea what to expect from this game. This is a nice roguelite space game where you explore a galaxy with your tiny (or utterly large and slow) ship and solve mini quests and try to survive for 10 minutes. Thereafter you get a conclusion, which quests you've completed and you unlock another type of ship if you've survived. This game is an auto shooter so you can concentrate on maneurving through space. It is not a bullet hell but there can nonetheless happening a lot of things on screen so focussing on this gameplay aspect only is fine. During your flight you can collect weapons, hearts for ship upgrades (damage, shooting frequency, hitpoints, ...) health points and Chocolate. After each session you can trade in your chocolate to purchase permanent upgrades which help with further sessions (so I guess this is the reason why everyone loves chocolate!). The controls work pretty well and are easily manageable. An additional brake button (I used RB) helps you guiding your ship through the enemy gatherings. Arrows around your ship help you with quest navigation The art style is nice and the game tries a houmerous approach e.g. on story, mission texts or weapons (like the banana bumerang), which works pretty well for the german version (there are seven additional translations). There are lots of hints on current pop culture, other indie games (see following spoiler ) and current real events. Encounter Spoiler: You can encounter Lente and help her with her problem. Lente recently released the demo of her game so go and check out the demo of [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2240080/Spilled/] SPILLED . There are different parts in the galaxy with unique enemies, what brings additional variety to the art style. The galaxy feels large at first but with further progress you get an idea where the different areas are. In addition you can leave the map at one end to appear at the other end which is great so space flight doesn't become tedious due to backtracking. The music is cozy but nothing special. Basically it comes down to solve all quest with each ship. Each time you fullfil a quest with a ship, it stays fullfilled for this type of ship. So this is not a game you would put endliess hours of gameplay to beat the whole game. The different types of ship add variety and increase the replay value, as well as the different type of weapons you can find. Conclusion: Highly recommended! There's a lot of bang in the buck with this game.

Beautiful lovely graphics, nice atmo soundtrack and a relaxed game, almost as good as Vampire Survivors. The only criticism is that it's unfortunately a bit too short.

10/10 Love the Artstyle and Humor! This is the coziest survivor game out there .. i mean you have to safe space cows in space ok? ok!. Also who doesn love throwing rainbows at laser shooting portal dogs while saving the planet?
