I'm not sure if this game is really cozy or not. I mean...you're helping dead bears come to terms with the trauma in their life that has stopped them moving on. The gameplay is cozy sure, but the story gets...pretty dark at times. That said, the game is wonderful, and I very much enjoyed it. The gameplay loop is fairly simple, you log on each day and go talk to all the spirit bears, and see if any of them want help with anything. There will be some days a lot of them want help, and others where there's almost nothing. And some weeks where bears will want help multiple times, others where they go long periods in between asking for help. Sometimes the help they want is just a chat, other times it's something that will require you to complete quests for other bears, or simple fetch quests. There's a good variety, and each quest lets you gain more insight into the bear's previous life. In between helping bears you can fish, plant some trees or flowers, go scavenging, or acquire and care for some pets (also spirits), which extends the game time each day by however much time you feel like investing. Each season (in real life) brings with it new fish and collectibles so you're encouraged to keep coming back. It's overall a very relaxing and cozy gameplay loop. But the story...again, less cozy. But I won't say more on that as it's something you need to find for yourself. Steam Deck So the game performs perfectly on the Deck, but the one criticism I do have that I think would be alleviated by playing on a PC is that you’ll quite often try to interact with something, and the game interacts with something else instead. You soon get used to it for the most part, on where the best place to stand is for the object you want to interact with, but there’s still often times where I want to feed my birds, and it takes me a few attempts to interact with them rather than the surrounding decor. That said, it’s not a major game-breaking deal, and more just a minor inconvenience at times, that is somewhat alleviated by placing things further apart or using the Accordion to harvest for you. But it’s just something I felt was worth mentioning for those who are deciding between Deck or PC. Otherwise, everything plays perfectly on the Deck, and I feel it’s quite a comfy game for it.

endless tasks to do and things to collect thankfully the game has limited content per real-world-day otherwise I may have to check myself into rehab 10/10 no notes

Well worth the money spent. Perfect for me personally. I just wanted something fun to do a couple hours a day. No stress. Cute artwork as well. True to its name. Super cozy.

People that complain about the game running in real time when that is literally the first thing popping up on this very steam page where you buy the game should learn how to read oh my lord. Very cute and relaxing game with a beautiful yet sometimes surprisingly dark story. This game was made with so much love
