Oh, it still launches perfectly on the latest Win11, it works seamlessly, and it's an absolute must for handhelds like the Lenovo Legion Go which didn't implement a mouse mode, or the Ally X which does it poorly, in my opinion. And if you make a shortcut and put it in Start -> Run -> shell:common startup, it'll run right away, before Steam even starts. Set its sensitivity to minimum and set another button (I chose the right trigger) with 200% mouse speed to accelerate when needed, and you're good to go. It'll make your life much easier and open up many games with no built-in controller support. Don't hesitate to pick it up.

I don't know why steam says I have like 7 minutes in controller companion but i've been using it for years. super useful, real simple to use, love it. lets me be super lazy and use my pc from a distance with just my controller, and there's a simple bind for shutting it on and off. much love to whoever made this

If chatpad functionality was improved this would be the endgame for home theater pc (HTPC) setups.

It does what it is supposed to do. It's a robust suite of tools for using a game controller as a keyboard/mouse to access desktop applications and basically essential for anyone who wants to use their PC as a game console. Steam's big picture mode does a lot of things but it can't do everything. This fills in the gaps.

Best 3 dollars I ever spent, its extremely compatible so much so that it can even play things OUTSIDE of steam, including flash games, downloaded games, and anything you want, literally. You just have to configure it to do so which by the way is very easy since its interface is highly intuitive and easy to get used to even for people who don't know what they are doing. My favorite thing is that it can be played with anything and it never glitches or fails. I love to play non-controller supported games like Magic the Gathering Arena, Diablo I, and various GOG title games which I used to never be able to play using a controller before. If you enjoy playing the PC like its an Xbox or Playstation, this is a great purchase for you. If you dont like it you can always refund it but why not give it a shot?
