Game is lots of fun! Really brought me back to the height of the zombie mania of my youth. If you like old source games and miss the zombie vibes, this is a good game for the price with all its modes.

Used to play this game on a laptop that could barely run it, but it was hella fun. Now sadly the game is dead, even tho it still receives some updates. And i noticed that the game doesnt feel like it used to be, wont go much into details since noone really cares.

Honestly I think people are hating a bit too much on Contagion. I played it first back in 2015, I enjoyed it then and still do. It's a hardcore shooter with hardcore elements, with most of the game being centered around its multiplayer experience, not the campaign. The campaign isn't perfect though. Seems like the biggest problem Contagion has these days is its low player count, which is really unfortunate. I've been cracking at Contagion for a few hours for a video project I'm doing on YouTube and did enjoy it, for its discounted price I think its an allright deal if there are enough players on. Its also worth keeping in mind there is currently a single developer working on this but don't expect a perfect game. Perhaps in the long run a Free Weekend or a F2P project is worth donig for Contagion.

I I bought Contagion back in 2013 or so after DasBoSchitt's promo dev interview. Gameplay-wise, the hardcore setup of the game is great: It's headshot only, any bite can infect you and remedies are scarce. If you liked the Stalker franchise and its mods, you might have struck gold here, because particularly survival setup and the gorgeous gunplay (not to mention the vending machines) give a vibe similar to the classic post-apocalyptic shooter. Worth mentioning is that Contagion really relies on co-op gameplay. A downside: Even though many aspects of the game are so well thought-of and - plainly - so much fun to play, it baffles me how the issue of getting stuck without knowing the particular spawnpoints of objectives still remains unsolved, which can totally take the wind out of a night with friends. The learning curve is rather steep. Maybe one hint feature would do? Another issue: The zombies glitch like hell at doors and on staircases, as well as while clibing over cars etc. We keep playing it anyway, because there's no comparable hardcore zombie FPS on the market. I very much appreciate the still-ongoing development! TLDR: >10-year-old co-op hardcore zombie survival FPS of primo quality that is still in development and regularly drops new content. Ongoing UX/Gameplay issues and tough learning curve, but for hardcore players I fully recommend.
