Judging by the hours that i have played this game, it's now unfair to talk about the technical and game play issues of this game. They existed even before i started playing this game. I will further add that i have never bought battle pass and never purchased anything from bazaar and hence never faced any issues related to them. I have all the DLCs of this game and anything which was lacking, i downloaded from the Workshop. My player character has been with me almost since the inception of this game and i built many stories around her for the game play. I have already written a 150 page logbook regarding her journey in the Exiled lands and it seems that i still can add 100 more pages. When my player character started her journey in the Exiled lands, her biggest bane was corrupted hyena. She remembers her joy on making her first iron tool after discovering brimstone and remembers over preparing for going to the north for black ice and star metal and swimming for hours in the Buccaneer bay for gold coins. She remembers her first fight with the Arena champion and absolute desolation when all her followers were decimated by the Arena champion and absolute joy on defeating the Arena champion. She remembers her journey to remove the curse on the Exiled lands and defeating the remnants of the past like the Witch Queen, the Degenerate, the Kinscourge, the Barrow King and the Undead Dragon and freeing them, from their curse. Her logbook further contain the accounts of events that she saw in Exiled lands and people she met and flora and fauna of Exiled lands. Further unexplained or supernatural events and places and entities like ghosts, speaking stones are accounted in her logbook. All these serves as my player character memories. Apart from the Exiled lands events, i further added some events inspired from the R.E. Howard, H. P. Lovecraft and Cark Ashton Smith books and Conan comics, for my player character and for my game play. However, now my player character lives in a semi-retired state, in her opulent house near the Noob river. She watches sunrise and sunset from there, eat exquisite meals and watches the dance of the entertainers. May be someday she will again get interested in her adventures in Exiled lands and beyond. In short i will say that if you play single player like me, try to make a story around your player character and then it may become very engaging and may be then you will be able to look beyond the shortcomings of this game. Even in the starting conversation with Conan, it is clear that the game is about the player character and not Conan. We already know enough about adventures of Conan from R. E. Howard books, Conan movies and Conan comics and i personally think that this game provides the opportunity to the player to experience how they will fare in the Hyborian Age. Edited : I thanks everybody for reading the review, liking it and for the community awards. Through the review I wanted to share my views about the game. Conan Exiles was among the first of my purchases on Steam and I am glad that I purchased the game and enjoyed the play through. Further i will share my game play endings (have some spoilers and sometimes not lore friendly and contain my own stories) - Firstly, though my player character was raised as Derketo Worshipper but she was mostly guided by Zath and Crom in her journey, without her knowledge, and may be as per Derketo wishes. Further the sixth and the most important person from whom the curse was removed was Petruso the Sandstorm Maniac and without removing the curse on him, the glory of the Exiled Lands could not be restored. In my game play endings Yuxa of the Brood inherited the Volcano and Serpentmen species continued to live on and flourish in the Volcano. Warmaker and few giants survived and tried to rebuilt the Unnamed City to its former glory. Yakira rebuilt the Forgotten City and it became a Centre of Derketo Worshippers but Dagon worship continued to survive in secret, always facing Yakira's wrath. Ladgara finally won the power struggle against her brothers and became Chieftain of the New Ashgarth and hence all the Northmen tribes, and Freya relocated to the New Ashgarth, to help Ladgara. Traders' guild removed the corrupt Mayor, with the help of The Black Hand Captain and formed a cooperative government in the City of the Relic Hunters. The Black Hand Captain and her land pirates were finally able to set sail into the sea, with finance from the Traders' guild . Teimos made the Floatsam a flourishing port city but did not left his hedonistic life. Nunu finally became the Priest King of the Summoning Palace and Darfaris, united by Yog worship, became the strongest faction in the Exiled Lands, but Nunu ruled out any idea of Darfari Empire. Arena Champion regained her consciousness and returned, to help her younger sister Dalinsia, to rebuilt Cimmerian Mound of the Dead. Vathis realised the hollowness of Skelos Well research and with help from Conan, led the Votaries to the new cause of fight against Thoth Amon . Followers of Sobek continued to haunt the Jungles and Coastal areas of Exiled Lands. Hyena men found a home for them in the Den and in return stopped raids into the Exiled Lands. Razma, Muriella, Mountaineer, Jamila, Gilzan, Arcos, Braga, the Outcast, Thugra and many others achieved their respective goals. The Archivist, the Dancer Woman, Gallaman and Sanus achieved good afterlife. Finally my player character returned to Kush, her homeland and it seems a new adventure awaited for her there.

a solid game for the price PROS: -the base game is huge, it takes half a day to get across the map on foot. -the combat is basic but fluid. -crafting is easy -UI is friendly, nothing out of place -Graphics look good -BOOBIES. just kidding, kind of. nudity in a game is so rare that its funny. -enemy variety keeps you challenged and engaged -Biomes are plentiful, have different creatures, and all look amazing. -slave system is good at a higher tier when you can get people to help you fight, including beasts. CONS: -DLCs required for weapon and armor varieties -DLCs required for map expansion -DLCs required for different building materials -theres like 8 more things that require DLC to make better but you can see where im going with it anyways. -building is boring. its typical modular UE building without anything to make it special. -slave system is borderline not worth doing and grindy until higher tiers of thralls or beasts. -lack of difficulty customization. the game does have a difficulty setting, but it's not really customizable. it'd just be nice to see palworld style slider customization systems. -game runs rough on anything less than a 16gb card. it's resource intensive even though its not that graphically impressive. optimization is mediocre. overall, i'd suggest the game, its fun in its base form, but DLC is really required to have the maximum fun and thats a huge downside. 7/10 game.

I knocked out some strippers with a club and dragged them through the dirt with a rope. I then forced them to push a heavy, stone, grinding wheel and eat gruel until they submit to my power. They now dance for my pleasure in my palace in the Highlands. 10/10
