An RTS Classic and for very good reasons, a proper evolution of the formula started in Dawn of War. I'm not one for descriptions but I gotta say the game intuitive learn yet not too hard to master once you get a feel for things. Of course one must bare in mind that this is a rather old game and that...Well, the ideas for how to create difficulty in an RTS of this era is certainly frustrating at times though you can learn some tricks if you figure out the triggers. One of my friends fortified and booby trapped the entirety of a map as the Panzer Elite during their campaign after ascertaining what would cause the mission would continue...And actually carried over to later missions on the same map which is a nice touch. Overall, get this game as a nice piece of RTS History...And it's not too difficult to find a sale if you wish, though $20 or so isn't bad for a game like this given it's age.

I originally played this when I was in high school. Now that I am older although I am a bit better, I just don't have the brain energy to multitask this much. RTS as a genre kinda a died for me. Too much multi tasking. I prefer turn based games now as you can take your time and think it through. The game is great though. One of the best RTS games out there. Aged well. Would recommend even after 20 years.

It took me nearly 20 years to finally play the campaign... and its surprisingly good. There's been many versions released over the years (and even an update of this one?). No idea what they're like, but this one is? It's fun. Or as fun as commanding unnamed soldiers to their slaughter can be, which I guess is pretty accurate for WWII Generals.

Company of heroes is nice game! Concept of long term thinking is really important in this game movement sometimes feels off but it is not a big problem The early-mid-late game are really well defined in this game compared to others. There is a moment where you defend then you combine forces to attack and when your attack fails you use HEAVY ARMOR to break enemy lines only to get critical damages and lose the tank lol THEN YOU GET ANOTHER HEAVY ARMOR!
