Cocoon is a majestic puzzle game by the Ex-Devs of Limbo and Inside. And you can totally see that DNA throughout the game. With its wonderful sci-fi minimalist art style, the experience will have you fully focused on solving rewarding puzzles, that are about easy to average difficulty I would say, but very satisfying nevertheless. I 100% the achievements in about 4.5-5 hours or so, which is short, but I think that for this type of game 5h is just right. It packs every minute with great quality, and no time wasting. The mechanics are truly original as they take place in a world within a world within a world, which you have to manipulate in just the right away. It's 'Inception the Game', and just like the movie, you'll have a great time exploring it.
I genuinely think COCOON is the best puzzle game of all time. The concept alone is absolutely insane, but what makes it so impressive is how perfectly it's executed. The idea of worlds existing inside other worlds could have easily become confusing or gimmicky, yet the game constantly finds clever ways to build puzzles around it without ever feeling overwhelming. The puzzles are incredibly satisfying to figure out, and the way everything connects together is something I haven't seen done this well in a game. There's a constant feeling of discovery as you learn how the different worlds and mechanics interact with each other. It's also a game that trusts the player to figure things out themselves. There's very little hand-holding, but the puzzles are designed so well that when you finally understand what you're supposed to do, it feels completely natural. The whole experience is incredibly creative, polished and memorable. It's one of those games where the concept sounds impossible to pull off, yet somehow it works almost perfectly. 9/10 (Amazing)
What a weirdly wonderful game, literally nothing alike. This is strictly a puzzle game, and if like me you've been itching to play something akin to Portal 2 in terms of puzzles then this is somewhat close. There is a story here, but its that weird type of story where you need a 5 hour essay in Youtube to understand. What kept me going is how truly alien this game is. The visuals the audio, it is truly alien. Nothing makes sense, you don't know where you are, you don't know how anything works, you don't know where you are going but some itch, man, it keeps you going. Played on Steam Deck, runs well! Recommended.
Nice game, cleaver puzzles, just enough challenge to make you think, but don't get stuck for too long. Gorgeous picture, pleasant music. I really liked the mechanic of stacking worlds inside each other. Of course it's not new, but this looked really engaging. Also enjoyed the fact, that the game doesn't explain anything, like that same creature that just woke up and trying to figure out this interesting little massive world. I enjoyed it a lot and have nothing bad to say about this game. Highly recommended!
