Children of Silentown is a dark adventure game that tells the story of Lucy, a girl growing up in a village deep in a forest inhabited by monsters. People disappearing is nothing uncommon here, but this time, Lucy is old enough to investigate on her own. Or so she thinks.

I enjoyed the game and the story and would recommend it. There is something rather annoying though, while there is a chapter select at the end, it is deficient. Without spoiling anything, at the end of the game you choose from available endings, but it seems you need to needlessly replay that final chapter in full each time instead of jumping to the choice padding the game time by another 2 hours or so. One pair of the achievements is even worse and because the achievements are mutually exclusive and are determined over several chapters, it seems you need two full play through to get both.

Underrated GEM right here. If you're a fan of the more artistic side of horror games... then "Children of Silentown" is definitely worth the $19.99 asking price (if you get it on sale you're basically STEALING the game). The art in this game is wonderful... the characters are well fleshed out and you will connect with them... but the story... the story is WONDERFUL!!! I played this game when I was running through some more "well known" games in the same vein... "Little Misfortune"... "Sally Face"... and "Fran Bow"... and out of all those games... "Children of Silentown" ranks as my second favorite one of the bunch (Nothing can beat my "little lady".. I'm sorry). So do yourself a favor and dive into the story being told through this amazing entry into the Steam gaming library... you will not be disappointed.

A really sweet adventurous game with a lot to discover. I can really recommend it.

It was okay. The mini-games felt really out of place and took me out of the story/environment. I did enjoy some of the puzzles despite me usually hating puzzles. The game is very pretty and the story is what made me play this but even the story ended up not being impressive and it's not a spooky game, if that is what you're looking for. Although if you want more of a mystery, then I suggest it.

Definetly a good Point and Click adventure. Children of Silenttown got a slightly creepy tone at some points with a really good narrative/ message at the End(s). I didn't really enjoyed the Puzzles since they where kind of boring after the first few rounds and the fact that you only got three kinds of "main" Puzzles in total. Besides them being rather easy to be honest, you still needed some time - especially for those of song two. I was glad that you could skip them after your first Playthrough. (You definitely need 2 for all achievements) For me it would have been a great Game if the puzzles wouldn't repeat themselves as much as they did (or got different mechanics) - but it is still a really good game with beautiful Visuals. Despite its flaws, I really enjoyed playing the story. It's simple but enjoyable, even if the Plottwist is kinda predictable. 8/10
