I beat the game in an hour. It's really pretty, very fun, not hard and a cool experience. But for how short and easy it is, don't pay alot. It's not a 'value game' at all

Once you tweak the config to better suite PC and can then set your resolution and refresh rate to whatever you want this is a phenomenal platform game. It's honestly one of my favorites!

I played it when I was young, but I couldn't finish it because of the last boss And now after 21 years i play the game again and defeated him I didn't even feel the game It ended quickly It reminded me of a lot of memories I loved it I hope it comes out on PS4/5 so that the console community can play it Because they love games of this type I highly recommend it

I came back to this [after a decade] for my second playthrough and a 100% run before playing Epic Mickey as a warm-up with our favorite mouse. There aren't really many good Disney games on Steam. I think Castle of Illusion works better as a Genesis game, but when I played it as a teenager, I initially thought it was cool—and I still do, just not as much as I used to. Some of the magic got lost in time and perhaps that was inevitable. It's a very simplistic platformer and can easily be finished within 2 hours. It's a faithful remake, but it doesn't go as deep as DuckTales (which is one of my all-time favorite remasters of another classic platformer), even though I know some claim Castle of Illusion is better. I wish both DuckTales 2 and Legends of Illusion would get remakes however. As for Castle of Illusion, it's a game you'd want in your library.

This is the 2013 remake of the 1990 original game. It's very short - only about 4 hours to complete and get all collectables. Generally it's a pretty simple platformer, but that's to be expected from a game from the early 90's. I've seen other reviews of people having issues running this game. I'm able to run this on Windows 11 with no problem. My only complaint is the screen resolution doesn't seem to kick in properly - it looks like 720p on my 1440p monitor (despite choosing that option). Unless you are getting this game for nostalgia then there plenty of better platformers out there. However, if this game is on sale then I would still recommend it as there is some fun to be had.
