A fun game by a solo dev! The game play is still a bit simple but fun. yes there are a few things that I don't like, and yes there are bugs, BUT the Dev is very active, and invites you to join their Discord so they can resolve these issues and bugs as fast as possible, and usually within a few hours. Not even AAA games give you that! In all fairness it is a good grab for its price if you like pirate games. I can see a good future for this little gem

Good game for what it is. Has a lot of promise and i'm sure going forward there will be massive improvements to the game. for only have a single developer it is impressive to say the least. Some issues lie with the steering of the ship and the stopping of the ship as there is no anchor function you just tend to ram into islands when trying to dock or park the boat. the combat is fun but I did find it not very challenging even on the harder difficulties. The crafting and survival aspect is fun feature as it gives reason to pause going through the story to gather food and resources. Overall there are improvements that need to be made but if you are someone looking for a single player pirate experience then I would recommend giving this game a try. Sadly for me personally this game isn't my cup of tea. but font egret giving it a try. Changes I would suggest would be making the combat flow a littler better and give a reason to use your block ability more often to add more of a challenge to parrying attacks. adding a anchor function to the ships so you are able to stop in the water. Maybe have a feature to adjust the sails to go at a reduced even when its fully in the wind. As mentioned I do understand that there is one developer behind the game whom has done a great job creating a true pirate experience.

This is a great little game forming. Lots of rough spots. Amateur mistakes like typos everywhere. But altogether a fun and immersive game that has both beautiful and action-packed moments. The style is IN the low-pol,y, kinda like Windwaker. Balance is good. A lot of detail could yet be added to weather, sea mesh, and NPC AI. I'm enjoying it and it scratches an open world seafaring itch left behind by Atlas. This is the little game that could, hopefully. Until then, its definitely already worth the run.

This is a simple game in certain ways: You chop down trees for wood and coconuts, collect rocks to use to build weapons, and collect plant fibers to make rope. This is very straightforward and kind of fun in a way. Then there is gameplay out on the open waters, which is a bit more challenging, as there are sharks to deal with. Combat is also fun, but there are plenty of times when running is the better option. I've seen many games with a lot more bells and whistles that simply aren't fun. Captain Bones has focused more on making a game that's fun than making one with a thousand options to choose from. It's well worth playing, and is as refreshing as a swig 'o rum on a scorching day!

So, 5 hours in and I have to say this developer has an awesome pirate game! I've tried others and they just dont scratch the itch. I hope this game continues to grow and expand, looking forward to see how it progresses. Great job! :)
