This otome game was such a pleasure to play. All the characters were drawn so beautifully! The backgrounds were really detailled and the music switched with the mood, location and ending. Also, I LOVE the fact that they included a music player where you can listen to all the songs once more. The (side) characters were interesting, everyone had their own personality as well as flaws and backstory and nothing was at all shallow or repetitive. You could select the chapters to play so you don't have to go through the prologue every time and there is a skip button which I have grown to appreciate very much, since it either stops at new text/dialogue or the next decision. All the characters really grew on me and, though I loved reading the stories, I have to say they were a bit short, in my opinion. I would’ve loved for them to be a bit longer. But saving Shu for last was a good decision - I enjoyed his route the most. He’s absolute best boy and ilhsm! I also love all the “easter eggs” and that every story and route was well written and, albeit a romance, was also very tragic in one way or another and there was lots of suspense in every route. What I did dislike though were the weird controls. Like, why? I literally had to research to find out how to adjust the settings and exit the game. So if you are currently playing or considering playing, here's what you need to know: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2568023044 If you don't have a "home" button, by the way, try pos1. Also, the game is fully voiced, which is amazing! If you pick the default name for the heroine, they even call her by her name! What bothered me though was that they subbed everything except for the two post-epilogue videos and the start of every chapter, as well as sometimes even the very end of a chapter/scene and previews for the next episodes. I really don’t understand why they chose to stop translating, but it was bothering me so I looked up the translation for the marked spoiler online to get a gist of what was being said. Lastly, I have to admit I really didn’t enjoy the two epilogue stories. “Full Circle” was fine, though I found it weird that suddenly everyone was involved in the Ruy Lopez Organisation, but “Auld Lang Syne” just ruined the story for me. They really just had to go and make Zora an absolute asshole, ruin Professor Sauli for me and this time really, actually rob Helvetica of his last parent, have this insanely cruel thing happen to Luka and then give Adam a tumor and have him leave just like that… Instead, they could’ve given us an alternative route where Adam actually confessed and was a romanceable character - I would’ve loved that. But all in all I really enjoyed playing this game and am absolutely STOKED for season 2 in 2025. 8.5/10 *hums The Yellow Rose of Texas*

Played on steam deck with no issues. The "found family" vibe is lovely and pervades the story. A few minor spelling inconsistencies like Zora/Zola, Tayra/Tyra, and Theo/Teo. It's a little strange that the protagonist is constantly being described as childish and immature when she is out here watching people die and saving lives. Also, Helvetica sucks.

One major con: Transition scenes with dialogue are NOT translated. Sometimes you can read the dialogue that was spoken in the log history but others is audio-only and you can only replay the voice lines w/o subtitles. If you don't understand spoken Japanese, this will probably frustrate you.... I had an xbox controller handy to save me from the UI. I recommend using the on-screen keyboard (click the home button) to save yourself some frustration if you don't have/want to use a controller. Also I wish this game had achievements because then I'd absolutely be motivated to play everyone else's routes and all endings 😂 The story I did experience was really fun and I get a huge kick out of the dynamic between the characters. I played Limbo's route and was not disappointed (aside from the aforementioned missing subs). Unfortunately I have too many games and too little time so without the pull of achievement hunting I might not be playing much more except to try Shu's route. I might update this later but until then~

HOME key for menu on keyboard, you're welcome. F2 for quick save F1 quick load Esc to hide text That said, there's a strong sense of found family in this game that I really enjoyed. I like that the main character is voiced. Some of the love interests' routes get kinda dark. I really really enjoyed this game, though! It helps that at least two of the Japanese Voice actors also voice characters in a mobile game I adore loooool.
