Honestly a good time, some of the lines are a bit butchered English and don't make a ton of sense, but for the most part its been translated decently, if you can stand chinese VA and the occasional nonsensical line its well worth the few bucks asking price. Also the Chinese accurately predict trump to be president of humanity absolute 10/10

not the swindling dropshipping sim i thought it was. too much story. too much chinese propoganda. characters aint even that interesting, well maybe they are? the poor machine translation doesnt give me a good idea about that. recommended only if you like visual novels focusing on our future overlords the Chinese Communist Party.

I got this in the bundle with the anime wife game. I thought a management sim with some kind of friendship aspect could be a fun thing to fill time Ultimately this ended up being way longer than i expected since i figured it would only be a couple of hours, there were lots of things i liked about it. characters were great and you end up caring a lot about them which helps emotionally, good voice performances, some interesting satire depositing a view of our sphere from the outside. I think the management sim stuff is a lot of fun, albeit very simple. But there are frustrations I have. Outside of the management stuff, you dont actually get a lot of choice in this visual novel, and dont mistake this is way more of a visual novel than it is a management sim. this story is especially frustrating. There is an event which changes the flow of the management sim from new goals and trying to survive and overcome rivals while an anime plot happens in the background, to essentially a busying mechanic to fill time between story beats. it rubbed me the wrong way when this happened. You have a big goal at the time and you work towards it making your one carrot decision a day to get closer to it only for a character to come in and make basically every bit of progress and advancement jump forward to unsatisfiying degree. and then we just spend a lot of time plodding forward waiting for things to go bad. And thats another issue, the plot for a lot of this is "worst thing ever happens thats going to take tons of work" to next week when we have "instant and convenient solution presents itself" following on from the game losing its plucky carrot business spirit, these story beats are annoying. the later one is such a "worst thing ever" that its actively frustrating. its like 4 all is lost moments back to back. the management part of the game is gone at this point, which at this point youve basically finished all goals with shrewd planning and it already felt backseated at this point In short, the game really really loses steam around 3/5ths of the way through. it loses interest in its fun gimmick, loses attention by removing the progression and then follows it with over the top and frustrating beats. It is fun to see the payback at the end, its also does emotionally land for me, when characters are in sever peril, especially one notable character. its nice to have bridges mended and see the characters all happy. I just wish we still had carrot goals and management here. Overall, I did really like it, and while it was frustrating, i was also hooked and i did care about the outcome and i did have a lot of fun trying to meet the first half sales and fan goals to stay affloat ( i really wanted to just sell carrots too, so made it harder for a while by not really dealing in other products, i was a believer) Maybe if we could have made more decisions in the visual novel parts it might have been better, especially because the main character is so stubborn and makes decisions that i found frustrating, when im supposed to be him. But overall its good, and certainly on play time alone, its cool. I would die for Tuya, Miaoye and even toffee tbh, my faithful carrot employees. I understand there is DLC that is untranslated and with the bundle hopefully sales increase enough to justify translating it, i will play it to see what happens next, why not? Also some people were mentioning a free mode? I did not discover this, but would like to have a game thats essentially just running the carrot store, making devlopments and investments and dealing with tough goals and change in market trends, and choosing to upgrade different parts of the village. That sounds like a lot of fun to me. EDIT: freeplay is in the DLC, please translate it

Good game. Recommend the base game. I bought the DLC to support the dev but later figure out they aren't translated so I cannot play. I hope the dev will translate it in the future so I can play it. Also please translate the achievements, I have to put a lot of effort to translate and find guide to complete the achievements list. If you want to buy the game, buy it without the DLC for now if you cannot read Chinese. Don't be like me.
