I like the concept and the game my only complaint is the skill ceiling feels low. That's unfortunately a problem with most multiplayer vr games. Reminds me of ultimechs, after you get so good you realize there is nowhere to go.

Overall a great PVP VR game with interesting sword play mechanics. This game is NOT physics based, do not fling your sword harder and faster like it does more damage, it doesn't work that way. This game is about precision, accuracy, and defense all at the same time, more akin to fencing with more classes. It does this great with each class having different poses to activate their skills. Multiplayer is lacking, high ping counts make gameplay insanely annoying, and low player count making matchmaking nearly impossible. This is simply a lack of people playing, causing a lack of funds to host servers in regions where players actively wish to play. My ping being 20-30 and my opponent hitting over 120+ really makes a sword fight not work well. What we really need is *more content* however, but I really struggle to think up what this could mean. A gameplay loop like this is simple and functional, and with how it plays it really does limit its potential for growth. I almost foresee this being abandon-ware someday in the future. Beyond adding more characters, players will inevitably get bored, like so many vr games before this one. We really need a game with interesting sword mechanics, and way more things to do. Challenges, rewards, characters, unlocks, cosmetics even. No micro-transactions unless absolutely necessary, but things you can buy should also be fairly unlock-able. Love the game, but really needs some more thought into how it can grow into something more, that will really make this popular and allow the player base to log in regularly to keep a healthy player count overall. This should open the door to more server hosting opportunities to even let ping counts get more stable. Hope the best for this game, and in the mean time 1v1 against my brother is insanely fun, the gameplay itself is great, and the skill ceiling is as high as you are willing to practice.

I think it might be the best swords game in VR.. as it makes you focus on your blade and the opponent's and be very mindful to how they interact. one hand or two hand available, nice graphic while not too heavy on the PC, control is nice, rhythm is a little too slow IMO, lacking some more fluent game mods, and so far the multiplayer was nice with short waiting time. there is an option to reset VR position midgame (on calibration mode) - something that is rarely seen in non steamVR games

Can't imagine a more fun fighting game. Not only does the game present a sword fighting system made for VR, but it has other great design features as well. For example, the game prevents motion sickness by moving your opponent towards, rather than requiring you to move. 10/10 game design. Other people complained about not finding matches, but I have not had this issue on Europe servers so far. Could be that my skill rating is very average and it's easier to find matches. My main complaint about the game is multiplayer latency/lag issues. I've had a few games where it was unplayable. I thought it was just me, but other people complained as well. My other complaint about this game is the tutorial structure. I would like it if the training part had all the information available without needing to unlock anything, and I would like it if some of the solo challenges had a side-panel with the movements needed for abilities and awakening. Would make characters easier to pick up, since players could learn as they play instead of having to learn before playing.

The lack of weight in VR makes most swordfighting either boring or ankward to play but Broken Edge makes swordfighting so much more engaging by actually making a "game" out of it instead of trying to imitate reality. The result is a very engaging duel game I love. Its nothing like real life swordfighting and that makes it even better as a game.
