On the brink of being something special but unfortunately like its parkour it didn't quite make a proper landing and fell into the abyss of dead multiplayer games. Got it way back on a quakecon pack so I don't feel too ripped off and at least you can still play it offline on LAN or single player which is more than you can say for most PvP focused games nowadays so kudos for that but then again back in 2011 we didn't let devs and publishers get away with that kind of crap (the pay us for a "live service" game that has the average lifespawn of a fruit fly if you are lucky crap). Oh yeah its free now too. So that's cool.

BRINK's honestly not a bad game at all. Just a disappointing one. It feels unfinished in certain places, and I wish it had more content. If you enjoy the Attack/Defend game mode found in other multiplayer FPS games, you'll probably enjoy BRINK. Every mission in the game is basically that, but with more co-op elements.

Underdeveloped, everything seemed good with it when I played it many years ago. Now its a relic of a forgotten time where games tried but failed and many games were overshadowed by CoD. It won't cost you anything to give it a try so I say go for it. It's not the best game in the world, but there are definitely worse.

Good game overall. Multiplayer is fun and the story is interesting, especially the what-if missions. If you value your sanity though, stay far FAR away from the "Be More Objective" 2** Challenge. You need multiple friends with you or godlike RNG on the enemy spawns and friendly AI if you're solo. The enemies never miss and crossmap you constantly, they respawn instantly, and your own team AI is hot garbage. Good luck

Just feels really floppy, doesn't particularly look great and I just assume this hasn't aged well. Maybe back in the day this was a good time, but now against bots it's not great. I wouldn't recommend this normally but it's free so, nostalgia?
