This game is sadly the demo for the next version of the game "Bright Memory Infinite". But it has some easier mechanics than the next one does. I wish that they kept the style score feature since it reminds me of Ultrakill, and if they kept the other sword skills like ground strike and throwing energy from the blade it would make the next game a little easier and not to mention a lot cooler! So DO NOT GET THIS GAME IF you thought it was the first of a series cause it's not, just get the infinite version instead and go from there.

Great fun! Although it's a one chapter demo. It should be free in my opinion. Overall, an impressive one man project, but just buy the main game you'll be better off.

Bright Memory is honestly one of the craziest games I’ve ever seen, especially when you realize it was made by just one guy. That’s right, a solo "one-man development studio FYQD" built this entire game, which is kind of mind-blowing. The gameplay is like a mix of Doom and Devil May Cry but set in this futuristic, supernatural world. You’re constantly swapping between guns, a sword, and all these cool special abilities, which makes the combat feel super fast and just awesome. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1773478207 The story? Okay, it’s a little confusing and doesn’t totally make sense at times, but the game is more about the gameplay and visuals. And, wow, the graphics are incredible. Bright Memory looks like something you’d expect from a big studio, not a single developer. Every environment feels detailed, the lighting is amazing, and it all adds to the intensity of the action. Even though the game is pretty short (like, it’s over before you know it), you can tell there’s a ton of passion in every bit of it. And the best part? This isn’t the end of it. There’s a full sequel called Bright Memory: Infinite, which builds on the original game but with even more depth, story, and polish. It’s like the “full” version of Bright Memory, where everything from the gameplay to the story has been expanded. Infinite gives you the same intense combat but in a bigger and more polished package, so if you liked the first one, the sequel is definitely worth the hype. So if you’re down for a game that’s short but totally action-packed, Bright Memory is a must-play. And with Bright Memory: Infinite out now, there’s even more to dive into. It's wild to think this all started from just one developer’s vision, but it's proof of how much passion can go into creating something amazing.

NOTE** THIS IS A DEMO. The full game is 'Bright Memory: Infinite'. Keep in mind that basically 1 dude made this by himself. He learned the skills and knowledge required and made a short demo as a proof of concept, all by himself. That's wild and commendable. Yeah, it has issues and feels like I'm playing an arcade game (feels like a Time Crisis arcade game), but one dude made this himself. It's a demo and a successful proof of concept. I look forward to Bright Memory: Infinite next. Honestly, don't bother buying this. Just buy the real game.
