I gave up my 100% achievements run, like nope, this game is too much repetition or too much run needed in order to 100% it. if I review it for only casual game than of course, I think Bloodstained CotM2 is a great sequel that improve so many thing from the previous installment, but I wouldn't lie that there are too much hassle and side quest to finish the true ending and the difficulty curve at the final episode is too much for me. But I still recommend it for anyone who want classic Castlevania game, maybe specifically for like Rondo of Blood or Castlevania IV fans.

It's difficult to recommend this game. It's a hard game for a casual play-trough and a tedious one if you want to 100% the game. The characters are fun, but they feel somewhat nerfed to the previous game. And I feel that the rewards were given up to last moment of the game felling meaningless compared to the last game. in my opinion if you want to play better experience play the first game, in the case you want a more grueling challenge. Play this one. 7/10

I'm really impressed by this game. It's simple like the original Curse of the Moon, but trickier with way more content. Like, three times more than before. With better characterization and story too, which includes two new original characters and three varieties of final bosses. The developers also decided to test you with the way they designed things. Like how Zangetsu actually gets WEAKER in Episode 2 after the power up he gets in Episode 1. You might end up not liking their decisions. But this is genuinely a good game that get's really fun once you manage to figure things out. Honestly, Curse of the Moon 2 is what sold me on Inti Creates and the Bloodstained franchise. I need more Dominique. I think I'm finally gonna play Ritual of the Night after this.

I originally played this game on PS4 and got all the achievements. I wanted to replay it, so I bought it again. This is like Curse of the Moon but longer & harder - while the original game was way too easy even on the hardest mode, this game has many difficult rooms. Sometimes, it even feels a little too much, but in general it skirts the BS line pretty well. I also appreciate how the final chapter works and how you accomplish extra endings. This is one of my favourite Inti games overall, but you definitely need to enjoy frustration to tolerate the later stages.

this game is great, but the 5th level made me rethink all of my lifes decisions including paying $14 for this game ive never had to resort to the embarrassment of choosing casual mode, but here we are. 10/10 would at least play this game 1/4 of the way through again
