this game is great, but the 5th level made me rethink all of my lifes decisions including paying $14 for this game ive never had to resort to the embarrassment of choosing casual mode, but here we are. 10/10 would at least play this game 1/4 of the way through again

Not as good as the first one, and sometimes it's pretty frustrating, but it's still a fun game

Super good game, specially if you're looking for a retro Castlevania game. You cannot go wrong with this one. I'll give it a 9/10 -Good Story and Gameplay -Good Music -Have many Replayability with 4 episode in total -Have Co-op to play with a friend It would have been a perfect score if it weren't for this few issue that are as follow: -Game become pretty hard and unforgivable as you progress threw the game, keep in mind I was playing on veteran difficulty, which is kind of the normal difficulty and boss start to get hard to read from stage 5, 6, 7. The main problem is that they do a lots of damage and you don't have the time to figuring out where to go for a safe spot or to counter attack without getting in a bad situation. -Boss on Stage 7 is too much, find her way way harder than those final boss of each episode because her pattern are out of the place, even after beating the game a few times and doing Boss Rush, I was still having difficulty against her. Having to try to read the pattern for the trajectory of the flies, while looking at the color in her hand to know what spell she's going to use, while trying to attack her, while trying to figure out where to go for the safe stop, then, trying to go to the safe spot in time, expecting you guess the pattern correctly, trying to survive if you got it wrong, it's killing you to fast to be able to remember and adjust. The worst part, is the check point is not at the boss, you need to fight some robot enemies that are already hard to deal with, which make it even more painful to get to the boss just to get reck in a few seconds and have to redo the whole thing again. -When I played the 2nd episode, I was collecting all, so I done the good ending first, to realise after that, that I need to redo that episode to get the bad ending, to unlock 2nd episode EX. That episode EX and the good ending will give you the final episode but what was not fun about this, it's when you collect all the item in 2nd episode, you think you will get an upgrade, but nope, you get nurf, it's like punishing good player for exploring. -Final point, when you done everything, you unlock Solo Mode, which make you do the game with one character of your choice. This is cool and fine except for Zangetsu, the first character I tried, because they put power up, all at the same place, for all the character in this mode and every character can get those upgrade, except Zangetsu. It would have been fun if you where able to choose which Zangetsu you want to try this challenge because ultimate Zangetsu would have been able to get all those upgrade but there's no option and they lock you with normal Zangetsu, that is way far more inferior to the other cast and without being able to get upgrade, sucked even more. Also at this point, I drop the difficulty to casual for some of the runs because it was getting to much to try to beat a stage without getting hit more than 2 times with all those pixel reflex you need to do later on. Beside that, love that game and still recommend because it just minor issue in the end.

Fun little NES style castlevania clone. You get multiple party members each with different attacks and abilities and switch between them for certain situations. The stages are varied, and theres some secrets and upgrades. Many of the items you pick up arent explained at all which can be annoying. Also the mech's hover ability is super finnicky and never found out how to consistently get him to do it. The bosses are well done too. But the game is short and after you beat it then you think there's more episodes but its just replaying the same game again, but this time with 1 less party member, and for some reason with all your upgrades gone which is about the dumbest thing ever. So its the same bosses, same levels, etc. The jumping is also a bit finnicky and theres too many instant death traps but overall the game is decent. 7.5/10
