Best Blood Bowl game ever. Much better than BB2 even the graphisms are cleaner than in the 2. Do not hesitate to come back and play this classic.

The first game I purchased through the Steam online platform. Unlike most games people are used to playing nowadays, Blood Bowl never was nor will it ever will be an "easy game to learn, difficult to master". Unless you fully understand the rules and how the dice work, you'll get frustrated and rage about how terrible the game is in just a few turns. After playing two games it became patently obvious that most of the low reviews were from people who have never played the tabletop version because if you had, you would understand how frustrating a game of Blood Bowl can be. The RNG isn’t broken, you just think it is because you've never had the experience of rolling eight 1’s in a row in real life! If you are having trouble "getting it", there are PLENTY of sites with great advice all over the internet. Avail yourself of their wisdom. The only thing I found lacking was the repetitive commentary. It's one thing to have the same stock sayings about action on the pitch, but I really don't need to hear how Bob wants to check out the "elf cutie" selling pies four or five times during one match. Additionally the consequences of play (experience, income, injuries and death) have very real effects on the game and your strategy has very tangible effects on your teams success or failure all exciting for a fan of hardcore games. If you’re looking for a faithful recreation of the board game, it's a great game. If you don't know the board game rules, which have been getting more complicated over the years, forget about it. The beauty of the game comes in in precisely developing your players and growing with them, strategizing each player.

If I could grab this game by the ears and headbutt it repeatedly I would. Improbable dodges, -2 dice blocks that succeed far too often against you, passes that make you go WTF and all manner of incredulous splutterings that have you pounding the keyboard in pure unbridled rage as the computer pulls off miracle after miracle and you can't pick the ball up. Soooooo many times I burn through my stash of rerolls and the computer hasn't touched theirs by half time. Failure to break armour, unable to roll a + stat whilst your opponent has multiple + Ag and + St... This game triggers my rage like few others. However. Occasionally, just once or twice, your carefully planned defence or offensive move might come off. It gives you a warm fuzzy feeling as you fist pump and swear at the computer, cackling with glee. Most of the time you will spend the game picking players up off the floor, watching as your big guy does nothing for majority of the game (really thick) and struggle to pick the ball up, all the while watching whilst the AG2 opponents dance in and out of tackle zones and pull off -2 Dice blocks giving you a choice of POW/POW to choose from. Again. I've played loads of tabletop. I don't ever remember rolling a result and rerolling to get the same result over and again, but you will with this game. Recently played against an Elf team and in 6 blocks on the same player in one turn I pushed the played back six times, not a pow to be seen. So by all means, play the game, have fun, I hope it doesn't boil your p*ss like it does mine. As for me? Recently rage quit again as I could feel my head exploding with unbridled fury. Even now I'm wondering what a new monitor costs and whether I will feel better for having punched a hole clean through it or not. After all that? I recommend the game because it is quite fun but annoying, frustrating, rage inducing and might cost you a new keyboard/monitor/house and a trip down to A&E.
