This is where the story truly expands on the world building and character development. While before it felt more all over the place, which many overlapping stories (since each character had their own routes), but now it is more linear and easy to follow. It is larger in scale, but sometimes it can be a bit slow compared to the previous ones. I do miss Kagutsuchi and all it's charming areas and places though. But overall a nice step forward for the story! Pros [*]Recaps from previous games: Calamity Trigger, Continiuum Shift, Ikaragu, Phase Novels, all have abridged/recaps. Now they're no substitute for the original material but a nice addition for those who truly just want to jump into the story. [*]Easy story progression: No more do you have to figure out which dialogue option to pick (as the 1st one is always the canon one, and the 2nd is always the Gag Reel one). You also don't need to lose any fights, thank god! Cons [*]Only 1080 Resolution: It is sad that only the first game had higher resolution (2560x1600) but not the previous game nor this one. The result is blurry and lacking visual clarity.

One of the most content-packed anime fighters out there. The roster is huge, every character feels wildly unique, and the combat rewards both flashy offense and deep technical play. Story mode is absurdly long, though you'll need some patience to keep up with all the lore. Still a fantastic pickup if you want a fighter with tons of depth and personality.

I enjoyed the second game more but this is still solid. Although unlike 2, where at the very least 30% of the gags landed, here none of them land just like in 1. At least lichi sensei is still great.

I've been trying the BlazBlue games and this one is far better than the previous 2. I don't care for the storytelling in story mode, but the Fighting is pretty awesome. Lots of unique characters that bring a lot of variety.
