Blaston can be both a stylish ballet of dodging and also the full body cardio session that you can't get enough of! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuUJJMxhWH0 lead yourself unscathed through a hail of bullets and plasma from about point black shot distance, dodge the projectiles in every way possible, you could even lean back like Neo in the matrix or lie on your shoulder to prevent incoming bullets from taking your last HP and defeating your opponent at the same time, you don't only have to be quick, but also anticipatory and accurate. Anyway, 100 squats or an hour of blaston, your buttcheek muscles will know. In the game you also have a leaderboard and an active online games, you will be able to play against an AI while waiting for an opponent and the points after winning against an AI will count towards the online leaderboard, you will never have to wait long to find a human opponent, it's a matter of 2 - 5 minutes. As you play further you will also receive rewards and be able to unlock new weapons that are always unique from each other, these weapons differ in attack type, ammo amount, loading time, reloading time, ect Besides firearms you will also be able to use protection shields and also throw weapons with empty ammo at your opponent, if you hit well this will also take away a minimum amount of HP, if your opponent throws his weapons at you you can tackle this and throw it back. Blaston is definitely one of those VR games that you will replay on a regular basis anyway, some games in VR are nice if they don't make you tired, and in blaston you don't mind that at all, even if you feel tired or thirsty, you don't want to give up and take on the next opponent. Highly recommended.

Edit: The developers have now reversed their decision to put ads on Blaston, so I have also reversed my review. That said, ads are inevitably going to enter VR space now that Facebook is gaining more and more of a monopoly on the industry. Either way, I'm glad to see some developers listening to community over money. I'm giving this a negative review for the same reason everyone else is. Hear me out. It seems that this advertisement "test" is not going to occur on the Steam version, but please don't be mislead into thinking this is something nice the developers are doing. This should be the expectation. You don't buy a product from someone just for them to s*** on it later. Now, on to the advertisement issue. I think it is absolutely necessary to show developers that THIS IS NOT OK. I can understand developing your game for PSVR or Oculus because that is where the money is at (even though that doesn't move the industry forward at all, and if anything is slowing down progress by swamping us in what's essentially a bunch of low effort mobile games). I can even understand porting your game to Oculus and downscaling the resolution so Quest players can run it. Right now, most VR developers are Indie devs with no budgets and very little incentive to push the industry forward. I get it. But advertisements? VR is so early in its inception that the fact we have consumer headsets is practically a miracle. There are, what, 3 extremely good VR games, and a whole bunch of average to mediocre ones? Everyone adopting VR right now is basically an early adopter, we barely qualify as consumer's given how new and underdeveloped VR is. So why does this matter? Well, because it's already been proven that advertising can easily kill an industry. The easiest comparison here is mobile games. While it's true that mobile games never had that much potential because of the low processing power of their devices, there were plenty of creative, fun, and innovative type games in it's early inception. I fondly remember all the classic mobile games that marked the early smart device era. But mobile gaming today is... atrocious. The app store is swamped in microtransaction based time-killers. If you want to progress, pay money, or watch an ad. And advertisements invaded and killed mobile games while mobile games were just starting to foster as their own genre. VR hasn't even entered the broad consumer market and Facebook wants to hold back the industry before it even kicks off. I can't, in good conscience, support that, or any developer that joins that train. You're not just ruining your own game, you're supporting the suppression of an entire industry. Call me dramatic, but every time everyone says "Oh stop hating on Facebook, they might be doing this sketchy thing with VR but they're helping the VR market way more than they are hurting it", Facebook does something even more worrying and concerning for the industry. I don't have any issue with people buying Quest 2s, after all there is literally no competition right now. But don't let developers/Facebook get away with this. Nobody wants advertisements cluttering up what is supposed to be an immersive and UNIFIED experience. Think back to a game you spent hundreds of hours in, let yourself get absorbed in, emotionally. Now imagine that experience, but with random, completely out of place (a pepsi ad in a town in Skyrim) ads peppered all over the world. What's important here is letting developers know that, if you do this, the VR community will hate you for it. I don't necessarily have anything against Blaston's developers, but they need to know how we feel about this, as do any other developers considering the same move.

An outstanding game that deserve way more attention than it currently has. One of the most polished VR games you'll find out there with tight gameplay that is not only fun, but it's the best workout I've experienced in the virtual realm. The better you play, the higher you'll get in the ranks and the more experienced players you'll fight against. And with experience comes challenge because the best players will have you moving around like Indiana Jones dropped his hat. No kidding I'll be rolling around on the floor trying to dodge bullets and in the same second I'm on my feet jumping over lasers. Don't sleep on this game. It's easy as pie to pick up, but there is so much to master. A single game will have you gasping for air and you'll feel great for it because it meant victory. Well worth the meager asking price.

This game is addictive. Very much a "one more round" game where you just keep playing and playing without noticing. It's also a workout! High level players in this game are insanely good, but also very friendly. The matchmaking is really good so far and always puts me in a balanced match. The lounge is an amazing social feature and really adds to this game. My only suggestions for change would be to add an arena style lobby so we can rotate whose fighting who without having to leave the lobby. Returning to the lounge after leaving a duel initiated there would be great, as well as a lounge quick access. Overall this game is a fantastic dueling experience thats almost as fun to spectate as it is to play. This game is worth way more than $10 so buy it!

Honest to god, probably new favorite vr game. The competitive nature of it feels great, player interaction is like it is in sparc which is fun. Gameplay is smooth and feels fair enough. People coming from SPT will have a good time dodging feels similar to that. Overall just extremely enjoyable experience and really gets you moving when you have a well matched opponent.
