After playing their banger Silent Hill 2 Remake, I wanted to give this a try. I really wanted to like this game and it started off promising but I didn't really enjoy this. Bullet and his mechanics were done perfectly though. I loved the dog so much and the entire first part in the woods was great with stunning visuals and good atmosphere. However, after reaching the sawmill I truly couldn't enjoy this anymore. Too much talking, way too much of this entire war trauma stuff. The annoying phone calls with the wife, the whispering witch, the antagonist talking endlessly. All atmosphere was gone for me and the last part in the ruined building was driving me crazy. Darkness, constant heavy breathing, repeating tasks and it just went on forever reusing the exact same textures and assets. It would have been fine but not that long because all I cared about was the dog that was suddenly unimportant in the game. I might enjoy this more in a second playthrough but the first time felt too much like a chore to complete. Also, I would have loved to explore the forest. It could have been more open world, less invisible walls and for the love of God, add a compass. I constantly had the feeling that the game was rushing me. There were many different types of collectibles but I never really had that rewarding feeling of getting them all because the plot, while being slow and dragged out, was still pushing me along. Overall not a good experience. EDIT: changed my review to positive after getting the supposed good ending. It's a pain in the neck to get but actually, after a total of three playthroughs, I can see how much care and thought went into this game so I can no longer just say that I'm not recommeding this.

After spending 120+ hours fully completing Blair Witch, unlocking all achievements, and watching every ending, I can confidently say this is one of the most immersive psychological horror experiences ever. The atmosphere is tense, with eerie visuals and a constant sense of dread that never fades. The sound design and dynamic lighting make the forest feel alive, and Bullet, your canine companion, adds an emotional layer rarely seen in horror games. While pacing can be slow at times, the game excels at psychological storytelling, making every moment unsettling yet gripping. A must-play for horror fans. Pros: Incredible atmosphere with a deep psychological horror feel Stunning sound design that enhances immersion Multiple endings that add replay value Bullet the dog makes for a unique and emotional companion Cons: Pacing can feel slow in certain sections Some mechanics can be repetitive over time Overall Score: 7.5/10

I love this game for how user friendly it is, the mechanics aren't hard but that doesn't allow it to lose it's spookiness. For being a Blair Witch game, it shells out the story really well and doesn't deviate from the source material much as far as I'm aware. Very fun game. As a Completionest, it can be tedious at times but its really not that bad.
