The game is fun and it runs like i remembered it on the xbox 360, that being said the original game was fun and just that "fun". the game is really limited and always has been you can run around and kill stuff no problem but there isn't any real challenge to the game and it's very grind intensive to get to the end, and i'm talking a LOT of grinding for a single player game (originally online co-op) and it can get a little boring at times especially if you play it in long spurts of time. If you can get the game on one of it's rare sales for around 20 bucks then i think it's worth it, the game is fun but very dated and did not age well like some of the other legacy games from the good ol' days.

What a Miracle. After all these years, this game on sale right now. This game reminds me a lot of Kessen 3, Good ol times. Anyway, this game is pretty good and fun to play. Especially to bonk your enemies into crisp.

Bladestorm: Nightmare was a really cool game back in the day. It was released before Koei started overpricing their subpar ports and kept the "weeby" elements on the down-low, given its setting during the Hundred Years' War between England and France. However, being a Koei game, don’t expect anything too historically accurate. It still sneaks in a slight fantasy/anime vibe where it can. The game is similar to the old Warriors games, Kingdom under fire or Ninety-Nine Nights from the Xbox 360 days but focuses on larger scale battles. The emphasis is more on strategy and big fights, utilising the right squads for each battle, rather than just being a one-man army with a few ineffective bodyguards. You create your own character, much like in the Empires spin-offs, and become a mercenary who can fight for both sides in the early game as you build your reputation and level up. Bladestorm: Nightmare is a really fun and genuinely unique game that can keep you hooked for hours. While this is just a direct port of the console game, they added an alternative game mode that turns it into a fantasy version. Joan of Arc becomes some sort of weird demon succubus, controlling goblins and demons instead of French soldiers. This mode puts a strange spin on the game that isn't necessary and makes it worse. If you just play the vanilla historical mode, it’s very, very fun.

A wonderful, simple game where you lead units against each other. It seems like a first-person fighter, but it's not: you lead squads, and fight with your squad, not alone. And it illustrates the little-known historical fact that the Hundred Years' War was mostly fought to finance the nobles' hair product imports.
