Very addictive and has that Dead Cells vibe. Not too hard to grind and level characters and unlocks, but late game and harder difficulties can be intense. Very cool threat level concept makes the game difficult by choice (use ingame currency to lower) and the sprite characters look fantastic. Great game to add to any rogue like fan.

Not a terrible game at the current sale price ($4), but it's not finished. The "ending" is just beating the boss and you fly away with there seemingly being more intended. They clearly intended to do more here before closing up shop since, for example, the main character is the only person with additional weapons and even then there's still an extra unused weapon slot. There's room for more characters at the bar that were probably never added. Zett, the final character, doesn't have dialogue with the main character about his back story at the bar. I'm sure there's more. Sad to see the game was left like this but if you want a more complete experience try Skul: The Hero Slayer instead as the games are structured identically with Skul feeling all around more polished with so much content that you'll likely get bored before you ever actually 100% the game and yet they somehow still come back once or twice a year to add more.

So here's the thing. The developers abandoned this game, and didn't deliver on everything they promised they'd add - they ghosted everyone on their discord server, went silent, and started a new game instead. I do not recommend buying their new game. All of that being said, the reality is, if you let go of the baggage of what was promised, what IS here is a VERY good roguelite with fantastic combat and movement that feels great, a rather wide variety of playable options, and some great designs and a ton of fun to be had. So I would recommend this game on the condition you don't look at what was promised and never added. But I also don't begrudge anyone giving this a negative review, because it definitely feels like a betrayal how this game's development went. Made it out of early access, at least, but I won't be buying any more TeamSuneat games until they're finished and I have the full picture on what's there to be had.

I wouldn't say the game is necessarily bad, but there are much better options out there. It's still a very pretty and fun game to play. I do wish I was able to play it on steamlink though instead of being stuck at my desk.

At first it can be a little overwhelming with its many separate currencies and unlockables. While also underwhelming owing to the slightly ungraceful structure of the levels, which make use of a run-based branching-room structure that feels a little forced, that you sortie from interspersed hubs. The hubs offer a break from the action and serve to let the player spend their currencies to re-equip, heal, gear up, and add modifiers to the run. Over that initial hump is a banger indie roguelite with great gameplay, surprisingly good story for what little of it there is, great style, better music, and nice overall execution. Admittedly it can get repetitive after a while thanks largely to the earlier-mentioned level structure, and I did not beat it, but what I played, I liked. It's a well-made indie roguelite with a shock of originality to match the protagonist's standout 'do, and a pretty polished feel.
