For a game that is 10 years old it is still very playable. Enjoy the RPG style where you can build what you like. If you enjoy making your own choices on your characters abilities, skills, and talents it is one of the best.

One of the best turn based RPG I have played. It has straightforward story, but it is replayable with the same fun as before. Most recommended.

I can't help myself replaying Blackguards again and again! Very interesting character building, adorable story, very talanted screenplay, especially dialogues, voice actors did incredible job!

So you start the game by finding a wolf eating a princess. You kill the wolf. A bunch of guys find you next to a princess corpse full of wolf bites next to a dead wolf and decide that you must have been the one to have murdered her. You then wake up in jail and beat up on some guards until partway through the jailbreak, you end up in the woods at a campfire talking about some random duel from your past. Then you walk to a town and decide to visit a graveyard for some reason. If you're me, you then get eaten by some giant lice, which is how I choose to end my story. Best $1 ever spent.

Surprisingly good game and fun story, great cheap game with good mechanics and interesting characters. I really liked Naurim and Zurbaran, great voices and fun dialogues. Main story is predictable but ok. One of the better games from Daedalic.
