Replaying this game while trying to 100% it for the third time just reminded me of why I like it so much to begin with. Runner2 is the best out of the RUNNER tetralogy. RERUNNER is SO SO close, but I think Runner2 still beats it out by just a hair. This game just has so much charm and personality. Runner3 is more experimental with it's gameplay which I can respect, but Runner2 has the perfect moveset for CommanderVideo. (I still miss the block mechanic in R3.) The soundtrack is still as incredible as ever and Charles Martinet is always a joy to have around. This is one of my favorite games ever and I highly implore everyone to buy it and support the devs. Also a ranking just for fun: Runner2 > RERUNNER > Runner3 > RUNNER Respect your elders of course, but the other three are still vast improvements over the original BIT.TRIP RUNNER. :P

I'm so glad Choice Provisions exists so that they could deliver their Runner games to us. The music is good, the rhythmic pace of the levels is spot-on, and the difficulty is easy enough for any rhythm game fanatic to perfect everything without too much trouble. It's great for more casual enjoyers of the genre as well, as the difficulties are balanced (though easy is a bit too barren sometimes, I'd pick normal for the easier playthrough to stay interesting) and it's a very relaxing experience that can be made chaotic and much faster-paced when you decide you love the game enough to shoot for perfects on every level. The cannon minigame is honestly the worst part, because it's a tiny bit of relatively untelegraphed timing you have to nail in order to perfect-plus a level, right at the very end, after which you have to restart and perfect the level again for another try if you messed it up. But that's a minor complaint from a completionist who went through the effort of triple-perfect-plussing every level, so it shouldn't be a big deal for most. Enjoy the game at your own pace, on your own difficulty, and you will feel satisfied with the vibes you're rewarded with.

What can I say about BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien , it's a great game that I can't stop advising people to buy it not only is a good game but the soundtrack is also top notch if you enjoy this tipe of game you should get it is probably one of the best of not the best in it's category. One of the few games I give a 10/10 not only because it has been a part of my life for the past 11 years since it was released across multiple platforms but hopefully it will continue to be in the future here on steam and such alongside the first one and the BIT.TRIP universe .
