Review of Biker Garage: Mechanic Simulator Lately I have been getting into simulators and liking a few mechanic simulator games. When it comes to motorcycles games there are not many good games to choose from. Furthermore when it comes to motorcycle mechanic simulators your number of options is very small. That said BGMC seems to be one of the best. Larger scale menu's: The text and text boxes are on the larger scale. Seems the owners / developers wanted to possibly port this over to phones and tablets hence the larger on-screen stuff. There is no option to reduce the size. And it may cause issues if you do not figure out the controls in and out of menus. Game controls: They do take a bit of getting used too, especially when they are not all listed in the static control layout (press ESC to see it). For example: To get to the top menus, you have to press and hold SPACE to unlock the cursor from moving the camera, then move your mouse upwards. Attempting to exit the top menus catches out a few players out, because you think you can press ESC, but that just presents the backstage menu with controls. You press SPACE to close the top menus. But sometimes working on the bike you need press ESC to clear the top menu boxes. Been able to change the keyboard and mouse buttons is also a requirement for a great game, This games is static, you have to comply to their game control setup, not your own. Visual appearance: For lighting, the bike is located in the middle, with no overhead lights, only skylights. Making the bike darker with less visibly to work on the front and middle sections. But everything else is bright and fairly well illuminated. Ambient lighting option on/off does nothing in my experience. But that said I do run a darker screen setup... The workshop, junkyard, bikes, tools and equipment, etc. are visually good. The centre dot is small which is good compared to other recent rival mechanic simulators. Overall the art work is visually appealing. Yet it does have some visual glitches. Track? Gameplay and workflow: Gameplay is easy enough, basic enough. Customer orders come in. Repair or replace, sometimes paint. Sometimes servicing the parts and systems. Then there are the junkyard parts you can kick, purchase and repair to make some coin. Later there are fluid changes with the brake fluid and bleeding tasks which are the most challenging to figure out. Painting is good, colour selection, rotating the part for 100% coverage, but since it a computer game, instant drying and assembly. DLC's are free. But does that mean they are good? The description of the base game says it has fifth teen bikes, it does. That includes the free DLC bikes. So it’s not really an added bonus to expand the game. There seems to be enough content to come back for casual gaming over time. That said they could make this game even better. Music and noises: There is a friggen loud noise "brllllopcckk" when continuing the game to enter the workshop. Changing the SFX volume does nothing to remove it. I do not really care for their choice in music, it REPEATS and there is no radio like other mechanic simulator games to change the music, squelch it or add your own music. Otherwise the air wrench sounds are good. Resources: On ultra-video settings, its steady GPU consumption around 30% but uses more memory (5GB) than most high end open world games. Meaning this game keeps the PC cooler than some rival mechanic simulator games of the same era and uses less electricity to have a spot of gaming. Workshop customisation: It is thier's not yours. No coffee machine, no fridge, no radio, no smoking. There is a funnel in the corner. Having the ability to customise, add content such as the Steam workshop makes games better and attracts gamers to play again. A few posters, open doors would be good. A few work lights would be a good addition to light the front and middle of the bikes to work on them. Rating: So far I rate this game 6.5 out of 10 points. Thank you for reading my BGMS review.

Its a good game but later I had to restart because one bike looked like its done but email won't let me finish. Second bike I had to buy a new engine and it was all of my money but I had 600$ but it spawned in a locked area so I quit and restarted. Devs please fix this so engine always spawns in unlocked area

If you don,t mind looking up how to progress via Forum discussions this game is good (on sale). I had to go there 3 or 4 times before I figured out what to do next as I got stuck a few times. The best part of the game for me is the speed of removing bolts from the start. Its fast, which makes assembly and disassembly much more enjoyable. If you like these types of games go for it (on sale).

it is a fun way to pass the time, but the 45th mission doesn't appear and it is a little glitchy with the air compressor if you leave it at your work station while installing parts and jumps around sometimes while removing and installing parts
