I would recommend for the story and the nice graphics. All the male leads are lovable. Only thing I didn't like was how you received each ending. Unlocking the diary entries is important to receiving a good end , otherwise even if you completed almost every quest you will still end up with a bad end. I wish it was less dependent on the diary and more dependent on choices/crafting quests since regardless of anything, if you complete the diary before the final battle, you will still get a good end. It loses oomphf when you can just enter the answers and be done with it, waaay before the final battle . More date scenes would be nice too. It is still impressive the creator worked on this on their own, so props to them. Pros: -Crafting system -Fishing -Easy to grind coins -Good plot -Great love interests (My fav is Thane) Cons: -Not enough date time -Not choice/stat based for final ending -Quest gathering can be tedious w/o exclamation mark above NPC heads

Dearest Miss Xero, this is the best VN game I've ever played! The arts just soooo beautiful. And not to mention the animated one ;) I'm in awe for the whole playthrough. Also the story is *chef's kiss*, the humor and the drama are balance perfectly well! I found myself genuinely invested in every characters. Oh, and the DLC even more (breathtaking) ;) love it so much! <3

Well priced for what you receive: Beautiful art and decent writing (much better than most indie otomes); tldr: highly recommended for fans of the genre but will be most enjoyable for those who also regularly read manhwa. I will eagerly wait for the dlc. This is where I spend too much time nitpicking and simultaneously praising the game. I will try to do so without spoiling anything! As a side note: this is not optimized for steamdeck or controller (but the vast majority of the genre is not in general, but if you wanted to know, now you know). You can map the buttons yourself using the steam tool, but there is no native controller support even playing on pc. The keyboard mapping 'guide' in the menu is not accurate, so this took some time to figure out. In terms of functionality of the game itself there are kinks that need to be ironed out. The gallery has been made available as default since there was a previous problem where, afaik, unlocked cgs were not showing up? Personally, the gallery serves as a way to know what you have finished / missed, it is difficult not to spoil yourself if you want to confirm an ending or event, etc. Quick save / quick load don't seem to work (they didn't for me, or the mapping was wrong), along with several other small issues. They aren't huge, game breaking problems, but they are annoying. I very much enjoyed the tongue'n'cheek comedy, particularly the 90's & 00's jokes sprinkled here and there. The tone of the game is well balanced, the characters are not quippy one liner machines, they take matters seriously when necessary, and they're not brainless. Even the himbo has a few braincells, which is much more than I can say than the typical himbo archetype seen in otome. There is even character growth, not only for the love interests but for the MC and their doppelganger. One of the best things about this VN is the boys are friends, and they don't become villains in someone else's story because the MC doesn't choose them. Overall the story is well rounded and ends in a satisfying manner. It isn't groundbreaking or new at all, of course, every aspect of this VN is a trope, however, it seems to me the tropes are purposeful, deliberately chosen as scaffolding for the story and character development. That being said, there were aspects of the writing that were annoying. It emulates manhwa too much at times, and genre quirks that don't suit the VN format, ie, a 'sigh' onomatopoeia being described as 'haa' in the text is cringe at best and alienating at worse since in english 'haa' is a descriptor of laughing. Having text tone indicators, like using asterisks for emphasis, made me roll my eyes. The LIs also don't have distinct voices, if it weren't for the name plate, it would be difficult to know who is speaking when in a group. This is being extremely nitpicky, since writing this way is challenging, however it would elevate the text quite a bit. Personally, one of the primary features of VNs is the CGs, and while developers who want to be inclusive forgo this key feature of otomes entirely when giving the player the option to choose pronouns, I was pleased to see this issue handled the way that it was. The sheer amount of CGs, therefore, is staggering. The CGs are beautiful. however I think the art is brought down by low quality 3d backgrounds, which make it look more like low quality manhwa. To be fair, these backgrounds is probably the reason the artist is able to put out 300+ drawings in the short timeline they had, however it brings their art down, and I find that quite sad. Of course, not all of the backgrounds are 3d, and most of the time it seems it's a mix of 3d and drawing, but when they are it can be quite jarring. The art is not ugly by any means, but it would be way better with better backgrounds. The poses of character avatars, on the other hand, are lacking. There are points in the story where the poses don't pair well with the current tone of the writing, ie, in the very beginning of the game, quill explains the situation the MC is in to both them and someone else, the serious nature of the conversation is undercut by the gregariousness of his pose. Expressions and emotes are used to get around this problem, but it would have helped the story-telling quite a bit to have a larger variety of poses for the people you'll be looking at for 80% of the game. CGs aren't as commonly procc'd as the number '300+' would initially imply. Lastly, the 'game' mechanic. It's completely unnecessary. Exploring the campus, crafting, fishing to make money, completing quests, etc. It's not uncommon for otome games to attempt to employ a game mechanic, but it is always tedious and unnecessary. Money is extremely easy to farm early on, other than quests, crafting is unnecessary since there are items to buy to gain the boys favor, but overall it cheapens the relationship when you can make a ton of choices the LI disagrees with but you can give them so much cake that they act as if it never happened. It also brakes the pacing of the romances, since the romance events don't happen at appropriate intervals during the main story, but whenever you hit a point threshold, which could be in the last hour of the game, then you get back to back romance events, it ends up being very odd. One mechanic I did enjoy was the stat raising, which was only effected by your choices, opened different dialogue options in various parts of the story. THAT was interesting and novel, and makes me want to replay the game. But worst of all, I was bored by the end. The endgame gave no new quests, the chosen LI was maxed out, no more romance events, just putsing around campus until the game decided it had been long enough. Since the game needs to leave open time slots for you to bribe LIs with cake you crafted with ingredients you buy with money earned fishing, if you've actually maximized your time at the beginning of the game, the end is a slog. This is bound to happen with game systems like this, and it is exactly why it doesn't work in VNs. Hell, it barely works in (a tangential example) games like Persona, and the only reason it somewhat does is because you are barely scraping by until the very end, unless you follow a guide exactly, it's almost impossible to finish with all social links complete. Just to be thorough, the music for the town is jarring and too loud. I personally don't think it suits the game entirely, but that's neither here nor there, the real issue being the volume of the town music vs the volume of the campus. It could use some adjustment. As a last nitpick, the font is a bit hard to read, at times it doesn't all fit into the textbox. I am not sure if it is just the resolution, but being a font, it should adjust accordingly. This wouldn't be an issue if the font was able to be adjusted, but it is not. Like I said at the beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed this VN's story and visuals. The price is good for what you receive (and is actually a bit cheaper than other lesser quality entries to the genre imo), and everything I have gripes with are nitpicky small issues that didn't prevent me from enjoying the game. I'm looking forward to the dlc, and I hope the technical issues will be ironed out with time. Miss Xero, well done!
