Well, it would be a neutral, but I give it a recommend as I got it cheap. Pro: + It has a nice feeling for flying around with beautiful space background. Funny that you can fly through a sun. + Nice solution for planet landing + Good atmosphere. + Nice spaceship design + Simple controls and UI, maybe too simple + Dice and storytelling combination. Until now the story is not bad. Funny unique quests Cont: - Music not feels good after some time, so I mute it and found something at youtube for listening. - Most of the weapons and utility equipment are just bad/useless/not worth using. - Solar systems are empty, same ships graveyard and asteroid field everywhere, and not worth exploring them - Feels unfinished / half completed and have some bugs. - Bad station docking, it should be like planets, so to not waste time with docking. For the 100th time it is boring and time wasting. - Missing distance from enemy ships. So you can only guess if the are in your range or not. - Many missing opportunity, this game could and should be great. I hope the devs not given up on it, and fix / correct / expand what they can

Finally got around to playing the game...man what a ride it was... Listen...this game isn't the best, it's quite bad in many aspects, but it has heart put into it, so if you're like me and you appreciate hard work and love put into a game, you will enjoy this. The game is like 50% text adventure (that means a lot of reading) and 50% space combat(similar to everspace). So the bad: -well, the combat feels bad. You're piloting a capital ship, but it feels too maneuverable and light. There no sense of impact or feeling of weight. -the camera is abysmal. Idk how you F up such a simple thing, but it's just bad and makes me sea sick sometimes. -voice acting is meh at best - you can see the low budget all around -highly repetitive missions -bugs -balance is non existent. You will breeze through the game because you're so much stronger then the enemies it's not even funny. This is by far the worst offender since it makes that 50% of the game harder and harder to stomach since it gets more and more boring The good? -good looking -great sound and music -But by far the most important thing was the story: it's really really good. I was kept glued to the screen reading the text adventure part. I loved every second of it and even if the game doesn't have the gameplay of something like Everspace the story is so much better. It keeps thing tense and sometimes it doesn't take itself seriously, but man...the ending, that was something else. It was PHENOMENAL. So in the end was it worth it? yes, but just focus on the main story and don't bother with anything else. That's the only part, sadly, where this game shines. So yeah, I hope, just like the guys behind Everspace, that these devs don't quit and keep making games. If you didn't know, those guys started from a small phone game with space ships and now have one of the best success stories in gaming with Everspace. I would love to see more games in the BTS universe and hopefully Isolated games managed to get enough success to provide it. I'll be the first one to buy it for sure. Cheers.

Campaign took me about 26 hours to complete. Pretty solid game, especially so if you can get it on sale. Somewhat similar in gameplay to Starpoint Gemini Warlords although not quite as involved in terms of the economics compared to that game. Fun little space combat game with a decent story.

id recommend this game but know what your getting, its a very text heavy adventure and a low budget game, voice acting can be a little weak here and there, and some of the secondary gamepay is weak, eg, crafting, but its a fun adventure, i had a lot of fun with it! for more info see my YT review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYR0glvhfME

I was pulled in by the idea of flying a bigass cruiser in a space game, not a thing that happens enough! The combat is good - the ships feel appropriately weighty and the weapons are loud and punchy (though the turret models are weirdly small, to me). My only real complaint - and I've only played on normal difficulty so far so maybe this changes - is combat is too quick. Ships can get shredded in a matter of seconds, so if you're looking for a prolonged slugfest where two battleships hammer the shit out of each other for minutes at a time, it's probably not going to happen. What I didn't expect was how much I'd like the dice roll system that covers most of what you do that isn't controlling your ship (ground combat, various other interactions), it's actually a lot of fun. You do have access to limited use items in combat as well to push the odds in your favour (dramatically in some cases), so it's definitely not all RNG. The main story's pretty interesting, and included some twists I legitimately didn't see coming (one of them I probably should have, but I'm pretty stupid). The writing, though... the writing is absolutely unhinged and I love it. The side stories and small events make this shine - a lot of really (capital R Really) weird stuff is going to happen, from hilarious to genuinely a little unsettling. If you're looking for huge spaceships, projectiles that appear larger than the cannons which fired them, and a story about a civilization fighting for survival while you deliver sex robots to horny man-children, look no further. Seriously, this game is really good.
