An amazing story based game full of simple but interesting characters. The story's unique take on the afterlife gave me a fresh view on how I want to live my own life. The game play itself is bare bones, but it's because all the focus is on the story itself. Deep messages are sprinkled everywhere provoking so much thought about the harder to think about things in life. And the overall message about enjoying life while you can is beautiful, a must play if you're looking for a chill emotional experience with a heavy emphasis on story.

A heartfelt game that I wasn't expecting. I expected a regular cooking game tbh, but the moment I started, I struggled to set the game down. It is truly a masterpiece from start to finish. A beautiful message made by wonderful creators. Even when I finish the game fully (including all achievements), I will keep this on my computer should I desire to re-watch the masterpiece. Thank you for making this game.

A very heartfelt storytelling game, not only was the main story interesting, the post-game content was just as good. This game WILL tug on your heartstrings, every review that says they were close to crying, or were sad, are not kidding. Each character has their own backstories and quirks that are very different to one another, yet they all eventually tie really well back into the main themes of the story. The game itself goes over various dark topics, some parts of the story felt very personable and touches on topics that you might be able to connect with and reflect on. The overall atmosphere with the music, and pixel-art made the game just that much more enjoyable!

This game was made with so much heart :) It's a little reminiscent of Undertale, but there's no combat which means it's a much cozier and relaxed game. It was also surprisingly much longer than I anticipated! (Important to note that about half of my play time was idling, however.) If you've been sleeping on this game, I'd highly recommend trying it out <3

WARNING: This game *will* pull at your heart strings... And then pull them again! While Bear's Restaurant does have a whole lot of "gameplay", it brilliantly tells a story about life and death, loss and acceptance, and even touches on moral dilemmas; and these concepts are explored from several different angles. With a diverse cast of quirky characters with their own stories to tell, odds are there is something in this game you'll be able to connect with; perhaps it's a character that will allow you to reflect on yourself, or perhaps on the life of a loved on. (I certainly saw a few moments that felt personal...) Aside from the writing, the music and pixel-art are also quite professional and really bring out the atmosphere of the game!
