Did I enjoy the game? Yes. Do I recommend the game? Sure! With the caveat of understanding what is available right now. It's under $5 for 4-5 hours of entertainment. The premise is great. Gather a large horde of minions as a Necromancer. It adds a fun refreshing spin on what is becoming a genre. The graphics are clean, and the voice acting was really enjoyable! The progression path was very straight forward. Do a run, get souls, upgrade, repeat. This happens for maybe a dozen or so runs until you're able to beat the boss. Then, that's pretty much it. I'm really hoping to see more of this game. Much much more, as the premise of the game is really fun! Things I'd love to see in the future: - Minion counts (how many units, maybe sorted by type) - Minion Variety (give me some more ranged or status effects) - More bosses and stages (seems obvious) - LORE! (If Moriana is gonna try and Dommy Mommy me, at least tell me what the heck is going on first.)

For $4.99 you couldnt ask for much more. The progression is smooth but once you get to hard mode its basically snowball until you get blown up by 20 mages at 30 minutes. I thought i could out dps them but thats not possible with anything ive used. Im sure theres some sort of uber strat that could push indefinetly but i havent found it! Anyway, this is totally worth the money and as of this writing more patches are incoming so i cant wait to see the boss. Thanks for making a wonderful game and including a gothic necromancer is just like an i win button lol, much love

Be My Horde doesn't have any fancy features that make it stand out as particularly special or high quality, but its simple core mechanics are unique enough to make it feel worth playing. The gameplay is pretty straightforward. You turn nearby corpses into minions, the minions fight enemies, and then you bolster your forces with your fallen foes. Since your main offensive power consists of the same things you're fighting, the game largely comes down to pursuing groups of enemies that are weaker than your army and avoiding fights with stronger groups. It's simple, but it's fun. The challenge mostly comes from special waves that move in specific patterns at certain intervals. The goal is to survive 30 minutes, though the game continues endlessly until your necromancer dies. Most modern horde survival games have diverse build variety through rougelike elements as a selling point, but this game is not a rougelite. There is permanent progression with buffs unlocked between runs, but once everything is unlocked the only differences between runs come from scrolls and challenge level. Scrolls offer effects such as "some breakables will release a poison cloud." You have a maximum of 9 scroll points and stronger effects cost more points. Challenge Mode unlocks once you reach 30 minutes the first time and each challenge level increases the difficulty by making enemies stronger. Be My Horde is a simple but fun horde survival game. Lack of variety across runs definitely limits its longevity, but I would say it's nice that it doesn't overstay its welcome.

About four hours in I had all upgrades maxed out. The game is very fun and I can easily see it become addicting once the game evolves with more stuff. Sadly the hard mode only seems to add 10% damage to the enemies. It would be fun to see modifiers as 2x, 3x, 4x more enemy spawn or something as one of the first thing to go completely bananas in the game. But all that stuff might come later, the game just got out and I will follow this with great interest. 5€ well spend!

Great game, had my fun, great value for the price. That being said, here are some things that are seriously wrong, anti-fun and anti-player that I hope get changed. First your army is awful, lack of control of any kind results in: -The strongest units hiding behind me which is beyond frustrating. -While attacking, 80% of the army is inactive unless you engage with the groups from all angles at once. (get kited) -While defending, one side gets wiped, another runs away from the enemy as you try to get to safety. Secondly, enemy kiting me around the map with 1 hp is borderline wanting me to uninstall this. Who thought of this cheesy, time wasting idea? With the army being such a mess already, i dont want to be forced to chase single stranded units to finish them off.
