There is something about this game that makes me play it obsessively. There is so much to unlock, upgrade and customize. In a similar manner to Age of Empires 3, only in this case there is more focus on the idea, you customize your building and unit options before entering the game. It is, essentially, a 1v1 asymmetric real-time strategy game. The more you play the more varied your strategies can become as you progress through the campaign, fighting intermittent bosses and taking on challenging side missions to unlock the most unusual equipment from hulls and turrets to destroyers, bombers and ultra-weapons. Select which pieces and which variants to take into battle and try to blow up the other guy before he blows you up. There is often a point from which the player can not recover, but this happens in most RTS games in which there is little point in sticking it out until the end, but the tides can turn somewhat as long as you are not too far behind. Much of the strategy lies in your own planning and the attentive execution of that plan, and to that end there is an option in the single player to increase the speed of the battle. The music and visuals are memorable, and the humor can be clever when it hits. The voices of the drones make me smile. If I would change something it would be to add a speed in-between the normal and fast-forward options, because there is a lot of time spent waiting early on in a match, only for it sometimes to become impossible to win, which makes me want to alternate between those two speeds constantly, which is a bit tedious. All in all, I got it on sale and don't regret it.

Entertaining for a few hours. I initially played through it in about two hours, then over the past couple years it appears there have been a few updates which adds a few new extra few levels. Unfortunately, once you get through the story and beat it on a harder difficulty (for which there are no upgrades), that's about the end of the replayability as it seems the "matchmaking" either isn't working or there aren't enough players to match make with... Overall, I'm satisfied, I think I received 40% off initially, so, 6hrs of game for about $4 is well worth the money!

Fun, silly, neat weapons - but think of it more as a puzzle game than a battle game. At least in the campaign, your first ~30 seconds usually decide if you live or die... though sometimes you'll get in a vehicle fight, and things get weird. Your opponent has a rough schema of initial moves they might make... and if you make the wrong ones, you're up to your balls in rockets, planes, or other ordnance that if you haven't picked the right type and # of counters to - you're dead. To be clear, that's not a criticism - it's fun trying to pick the right basket of systems to win a particular match. But don't think of it like a fighting game - or you'll be disappointed.

Great fun! Like a polished version of a flash game I used to play years ago. Definitely a good game to have i your library - I've got way more than my money's worth within a couple of hours of buying it.

I bought this game on sale and for about 3 dollars I got to relive the good old days of playing flash games on my web browser. It's not mechanically deep, it's not visually stunning, it's not endlessly replayable. But for a couple of bucks you too can watch two big ships blow each other up. And besides, they're indie devs, it's always good to support the endeavours of (presumably) students/fresh graduates. I will say that I found the selection of weaponry, or rather, the lack thereof, a bit disappointing. I was rather looking forward to the idea that I would have to balance the various needs and wants of my strategy with the enemies. Nonetheless, I had a good 3 hours of fun for the same price.
