Baldi's Basics Plus expands on the original game in so many ways that it literally deserves all of the kind, positive reviews it's getting. The developer is taking his time and not rushing out things, which I highly, HIGHLY encourage. MystMan, if you're reading this, don't feel pressured to rush: you're doing absolutely amazing and I want you to keep up. I mean, what can I really say? Everytime you play the game, it is like an new experience in another generated schoolhouse, collecting notebooes while avoiding Baldi and his friends who give an good challenge with items to help you on your playthroughs. This game is so well optimized and light-weight, I could probably run this on an very old school computer and I'd still get an fair framerate. It's still in early access, but to encourage MystMan to be healthy and work on this passion project as well as he is doing right now. I will give it an 10/10.

It's crazy to think that Baldi's Basics went from a mascot horror game to a stealth rougelike. The game is really fun, and I think it's better than the original game.

I got in on the Baldi craze a little late. Probably like, 2020 or 2021. My stepson was watching the hell out of YouTubers playing the classic version. So I started playing and never stopped. I'm 41, so I remember the HORRIBLE, AWFUL edutainment games that inspired the Baldi aesthetic. Baldi's Basics Plus is a masterpiece among masterpieces. From the freshness of the rogue-like play to the cheap jumpscares, to the just damn downright loveable-ness of the characters... It's solid work. Micah has created something quietly monumental with Baldi, and I'm here for it. It seems like Baldi kinda faded from mainstream consciousness for a stretch, but I never stopped playing. This is one of those games that if you love it, you LOVE IT. And I love it. I love the "cursed," dithered aesthetic. I love the personalities of the NPCs. I love the way the whole thing keeps evolving. Just buy the damn game already for unlimited fun.
