I found a bag battle freemium game on my phone. I decided that before I give them money to make the ads go away, I would check to see if there was something similar on Steam for comparable amount of money. It didn't take long for me to find Backpack Battles. I downloaded the demo, played through once, and came back to buy the game. It's so much fun! I've been playing a ton and feel like there's still a lot more ways to play the game and I have a lot more to unlock yet.

Fun game. It's asynchronous PvP, meaning you play against the saves of other players. It also means you can pause the game at any time, no issues.

Asynchronous multiplayer is what I have been missing in card games / autobattlers. Unlimited time to make decisions while not taking other players hostages is amazing. The game currently has 4 playable classes and seems like there are always new op builds to figure out. DEVs are keeping the game fresh by regular balance changes when meta gets stale. Also no paywalls/grindwalls, just perfection.

Don't let the PvP tag put you off. Game is stress free and very enjoyable. Optimizing your backpack and learning all the types of item interactions is addictive. See rat, take rat is my favorite strategy :)

chillest competitive pvp game i've ever played. decent look, no time pressure, unique game mechanics. can be a bit frustating when u stare at ur screen for minutes and can't figure out how to fit everything and still affect the right items, but the serotonin boost when getting massive combos compensate for the frustation one of the best demos i've ever played, now bought the EA version and regret nothing, looking forward for more items 10/10
