Right away, naturally, all the Brazilian references went over my head. I'm here for the surreal pop art. But would you believe me if I said a "lol random" game with a name that rivals anime titles in their nonsensical imbecility isn't so bad? I wouldn't. It is Quake, and Quake can do no wrong. Okay, of course it can in the wrong hands, which isn't the case. You'll immediately recognise most of the weapon sounds, as well as reskinned ogres, dogs, enforcers, etc. Movement, shooting, everything but the apparent psychedelic psychosis is Quake. Based on this, I expected derivative meme-bait that holds together on snot. Then I saw the game works fine and, more so, has character. Maybe 90% of it is id Tech 2 magic, however, this alone wouldn't help if the devs didn't take their creation seriously. For some reason. That engine isn't just common knowledge and its use points to some level of commitment involved. I once tried to create levels and models in id Tech, so I know it's no small feat. This game has its own brand of level design with curious gimmicks (I miss the monster closets, though), its own brand of distorted audiovisual oomph, and it's fun to play. Not just funny. Am I overselling it? Yeah, one of the effects of such presentation and marketing is how they blindside you. You approach the trailer trash crackhead with curbed enthusiasm, then a guilty toothless fellatio blows your mind. I mentioned level design, good gameplay... I'm talking serviceable basics, for the most part. Take my praise as relative to my low expectations. Encounter design is all over the place. Why most enemies start facing away from the player? Ammo is scattered thoughtlessly, damage feedback is lacking, lighting and sounds are grating, and collisions are clingy. And there's only so much creativity reskinning of existing stuff allows. The OST, on the other hand, unexpectedly grew on me. Besides, the fact I never got lost and could always tell enemies or pickups apart from the busy environments shows a degree of competence. I guess. But let's face it, speaking of its user score, BDD3 is overrated. It's not a hidden gem. Let's face another thing: you don't lose much when you get deceived by it. It plays like a solid Quake mod of yore. I haven't touched such a thing in ages, hence, it made me smile and all that sentimental tripe. For a paid Quake mod, it's not even that bad! I played worse. Albeit, people with no such reference point must be choking on saliva after giving it a go. Seeing how Quake's running-&-gunning sensibilities stand the test of time and always will. I only wish the whole thing was as good as some of its last levels. Unfair hordes of demons and multi-level dungeons are what it needs more of, in my eyes. That said, there's a big difference between something looking low-effort on purpose and something made carelessly. There's a difference between a silly joke riding on the back of people who came before and an attempt to create a fun game by implementing old reliable tech. In the end, I found the game amusing. Oh yeah, it's a finished "story" despite its early access status. P.S. If you liked this one or just fancy a heftier, better-made title in more or less the same purposefully trashy vein (only premium), try [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/magerama/recommended/1931020?snr=1_5_9__402]Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer. Deadass. Maybe also SharpShooter3D, but I'm yet to examine it closer. My curator [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35305390-Big-Bad-Mutuh/?appid=262060]Big Bad Mutuh

this game is like if postal 2 and quake had a child which overdosed on used hypodermic needles found in a public restroom toilet bowl and died, and came back to life after a week, got deported and overdosed on crack in some alleyway behind a chick-fil-a 10/10 would reccomend

It’s a novelty Quake mod about Brazilian memes that is genuinely incomprehensible to anyone outside of South America From the moment you load it up the game is trying to over-stimulate you. Half of the on-screen text is completely illegible. Your health bar is made of emojis. The levels are nonsensical, rushed, and put together without any care for the player who’s meant to navigate them. Every sound is mixed far too loud, compressed to hell, and stuck at max volume. Everything screams at you all the time. The OST is composed entirely out of nightmarish rips of deep-fried phonk and dnb. I loved it

most people don’t realize this but the reason it’s called brazilian drug dealer 3 is not because it’s the third game but because you play as the third drug dealer to ever exist in brazil

This might be the worst quake mod I have ever played, I understand none of the jokes, the audio is horrid yet on brand. Which is why I recommend this game, on every level, please play it, culture yourself.
