Astrometica is a wonderfully optimized early access donut collector game, that reminds me of early Subnautica days. As someone with hundreds of hours in Subnautica starting well before 1.0, this is definitely a positive. Although in early access, this game has a great polish to it that makes me excited for the future. The environment and overall graphical design is gorgeous, the music is amazing, there are little to no performance issues, and the dev is active and passionate. I can foresee myself putting hundreds of hours into this game already. While I did say this game reminds me of Subnautica, I'd like to point out this game has enough originality that you cannot say it's a clone. It would be like calling Path of Exile 2 and Diablo 4 a clone, ridiculous. Ignore the comments that state otherwise because they clearly looked at similarities without the bigger picture. Certain things look similar, as in the futuristic design styles. Some aspects like scanning fragments are similar, yes. Believe it or not, Subnautica is not the first or the last to incorporate these things, so using another game as an excuse not to buy this one or give it a bad review is disingenuous. If the majority of people thought like that, we'd see a lot fewer games in the world. This is no ripoff, this is a game that took inspiration and made a good experience with it. While yes, there is the occasional bug, it is more than tolerable, especially for an early access experience. I went 20 hours before encountering anything and when checking the Discord, it was already being tracked and worked on for the next patch. Regardless of it being singleplayer, Astrometica has an awesome community that I highly recommend being a part of if you plan on playing the game. If my mediocre review didn't convince you, at the very least, I recommend wish listing the game and tracking it on its way to 1.0, but I highly suggest you give it a shot now. This game will have immense replayability as a survival, and like Subnautica, an amazing story to go along with it. Safe travels, and happy donut hunting.

If you like games like Subnautica then this game is for you. Unfortunately it is in early access. I cleared everything the game had to offer in 2 days. When this game is further along in development it will be even better then it already is.

This game definitely has Subnautica in space vibes to it. Subnautica is one of the best games I've ever played so it's good choice to take inspiration from. Graphically this game is very pretty. I'm really liking the music, it fits nicely and adds to the atmosphere. The game seems to be a in really good, well polished state for an early access game. I'm nearly twos hours in and it feels like I've barely started. There are lots of things to build, tools to craft and different resources to utilise. I'm genuinely excited to explore and see what all the points of interest contain. I'm really loving this game so far, if you like Subnautica you should give this game a chance.

There's a lot of these type of games out there, because if done right they are a lot of fun. This one has all points to be a great one someday. The mechanics seem pretty good right now. The story will be the defining moment. I would love to have audio for the logs. As an old system shock 2 fan, having the logs read makes a big difference in setting the atmosphere.
