UPDATE 2: Started playing again yesterday (poor performance at launch on my i5 and 1060gtx rig so didnt play much), and am only 10h in, but after the latest improvement patch the game runs a dream and is alot of fun! I heavily underutilized the towers early on because i thought their cost would be subtracted from mission mining, but now when they're almost lvl 10 they do alot of work. UPDATE: DEVS FIXED THIS SUPER FAST! IN HOURS. If this is not responsive development, i dont know what is. Very excited to play. Have tried 2 maps without problems since update. ---- Game itself: Super fun and just what i was looking for! A new type of roguelike in space with character progression and nice tower calldowns for those special moments. HELLDIVERS 2 meets halls of torment, deeprock galactic survivors or hades! Really like the various elements of both a mission to extract minerals with a miner that you have to defend and then guard when its done and on its way to the collection point. And that there are positions on the map that you can defend for a certain amount of time to get another type of powerup. Looking forward to many hours of play and to progress through the maps! Original post: Seems like a great game and I am very eager to play.. I know its early access but cant change video settings to get better fps. When i try to edit the settings to anything other than the standard, which are at super (eco, medium, high, super, ultra) it just crashes the game. If it has crashed it wont start. It will try to start but once it opens up it just shows the white underscore top left at a blackscreen during startup for a second and then close. Have tried making copies of the config files and rename the original to force it to create a new config file, When i do that it will start again at super quality but once I change anything settings-wise in-game it crashes. Not sure why it will run in the standard settings and not the others. Maybe devs can look into it and fix it. But as of time of writing this it wont work. Have tried presets eco, medium, high and custom settings with various changes. And tried to enable and disable dynamic resolution with the earlier changes a combination. When looking at the config files it seems the config file is saving the changes i made but then having trouble rendering the game at different resolution quality (50, 71 etc) after I press apply as the values for each field (shader, effects, texture etc) are changed. But it wont start with anything other than the preset value of super. So it seems the resolution quatily is not working as intended. I am writing this as I want the devs to know about this issue. Not sure I to get a buyback if a fix wouild solve the issues but then again i am not certain what they can fix. Its just strange that the standard preset of super runs the game and others make it instaquit. The fps I am getting with the super preset is too low for it to be playable on my rig. I am leaning towards a buyback for now and then give it a go later on when it has had some time to develop more... But will wait a few days to see if i get any response before initating a buyback.

Wait a few weeks before buying. At the moment, it feels like a very polished early access. It's not very balanced and the UI could be greatly improved. For example, it doesn't say what you're getting when you upgrade a turret or a weapon. You just blindly upgrade. The UI also constantly flashes between keyboard and gamepad shortcuts (I don't have a gamepad plugged in). It's also not possible to 100% the game because of an early adopter achievement that's unobtainable.

+ its fun + good gameplay + good graphic + love the way how u should take money for upgrads (more towers u build, less money u take at the end) ----------------------- - Bosses are fool retards week af - map is super flat - Heroes are not customizable - skills are complitly useless! super useless... i ended the game without using them for once in later missions - there is ways to end the game in less than 8 hours if u are a little smart player who knows the strategy of these kind of games - The maxed rocket-launcher turret is the most effective turret, which is unlocked and free at the begining of the game! (( unbalanced )) enough powerfull to eat popcorns with one hand and texting your gf with the other one while u are winning the match :) (makes it boring when u use that) ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ does it worth to play in exchange of your time? --------- ------ yes, its a new type of experience ------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------------

Super fun and exciting game! I love its Scifi setting and environments. The game is easy to survive at first, but it keeps attracting me to challenge higher difficulty and different levels. I can collect more minerals to upgrade my characters or try different weapons and turrets. Yes, it's so cool that I can also place turrets to help me survive or guard the mining site, which gives me more strategic choices. Highly recommend it to players who like top-down Roguelike shooter game or tower defense game, this game can provide an very interesting game experience.
