AC Unity excels in a lot of cases but has a few important weak points. This game has the best combat & parkour out of the whole franchise but the story leaves more to be desired. What Assassin's Creed Game Is The Best? Assassin's Creed 2 is the best story in the series, while Black Flag is the most fun in the series, Unity however is the most Assassin's Creed game in the series. It's the gameplay I wanted throughout playing every other AC game, it feels real, connected, immersive, like you actually are an Assassin. You actually feel afraid of dying, you actually have to use your brain and think about how you are going to do this. In any other AC game you could just muscle your way through every kill and every mission. Here you will die, you will die a lot, you are not some god that can 1v50, you have to create a path to your target. Kill and escape, an actual challenge. With the parkour being by far the best in the series, just running through Paris without ever fast traveling is just beautiful. This 10 year old game even has graphics that are better then some games coming out today, but it's insane how buggy they were when I first launched the game. It really destroyed my will to play when I first started, but after fixing that and restoring my moral I really enjoyed this. It should be the standard for the series in regards to gameplay. The Assassin's fight for Freedom in every game, but we never get the freedom to choose how we kill our Templars? Unity is a really refreshing game in the series, it needs some better optimization, some overall improvements, and a story like AC2 and this could not only have been a masterpiece, but it could have been [U]THE Assassin's Creed masterpiece.
