HEY THIS IS AN IMPORTANT NOTE IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME IN 2024, you HAVE TO DOWNLOAD "Ubisoft Connect" from ubisoft connect web in order to run this game. The Uplay which the steam provides after installing the AC 2 is now merged into ubisoft connect and no longer provides services, so don't install the uplay. After Downloading you will have to log in with ubisoft account. If you have logged in, when you press play button on steam, it will automaticaly open the ubisoft connect application and then run it from there. I hope this helps for u guys

Such a Vibe Assassin's Creed II is set in Renaissance Italy, and the attention to detail is impressive. Florence and Venice, are beautifully recreated. Exploring these locations feels like stepping back in time. The architecture and the culture are beautifully portrayed, making the world feel alive and immersive. The bustling streets, detailed buildings, and atmospheric landscapes contribute to a rich and vibrant atmosphere. The vibe of the game is truly captivating. Walking through the streets of Florence, you can hear merchants calling out their wares, see artists painting in the piazzas, and watch nobles discussing politics. The canals of Venice are alive with gondoliers singing, and the grand architecture reflects the cityā€™s opulence. Assassin's Creed II made significant improvements over the first game. The free-running mechanics are smoother, and climbing buildings are more fluid. Combat is also enhanced, with a variety of weapons and tactics to use against enemies. The addition of the hidden blade is a highlight, allowing for stealthy assassinations that feel satisfying. The game also introduced a more user-friendly interface and better mission variety, addressing the repetitiveness that plagued the first game. So this review is to save you some time. When you install "Assassin's Creed II" with Steam, you will get a prompt to install "Uplay" because Assassin's Creed II requires a third-party app. "Uplay" however is outdated and WILL NOT WORK. You will have to get "Ubisoft Connect" which is the updated version of Uplay. So: Uninstall "Uplay" go to the ubisoft website or, if you want to save time, ubisoft.com/en-gn/ubisoft-connect and install "Ubisoft Connect" You will also need an account. It's annoying as fuck. Anyway, the game itself is miles ahead of the first Assassin's Creed. It is a great game and fans of the series will tell you it started an "Ezio trilogy" that is one of the best stories the series has to offer. If not the best. Idk. I haven't gotten to the others, yet. Cheers.
