The game is okay, the story takes place after the Ezio short film and sees Shao Jun return with the precursor box that she received from Ezio. Pros: - You get to play as Shao Jun - The graphics are set in Chinese artwork style - Cool executions - Chinese themed Assassin music (sounds a lot like Avatar the Last Airbender) - Ezio is kind of in the game somewhat Cons: - Stuck in a 2D environment which seems a waste especially for notable locations like the Great Wall of China - Hard to figure out which objectives are wear due to the 2D format. Example: sometimes you walk towards the you to see a whole new area - Explains what the box contains that Ezio game Shao Jun in the film

Honestly pretty fun, though the controls for PC are atrocious (To activate a certain ability, you have to press both bumpers on a controller; on a keyboard it's CTRL and Shift. And you have to do it immediately after pressing C, too.) Did all the achievements (though you can't see that, it's on Ubisoft Connect). Wish they ported the achievements to Steam. Story is OK, truth be told it's unremarkable. The artstyle is very pretty though. For how cheap it is, the game delivers.

This is the 1st game in the Assassin's Creed Chronicles series, a side-scrolling platformer. Among the three installments, it has the easiest difficulty level. The ink wash painting-like presentation, likely influenced by its Chinese setting, is outstanding. However, perhaps because it is the earliest of the three, the background feels somewhat empty compared to the other two installments.
