I don't really write reviews. However I just wanted the Devs to know they are doing an amazing job. Is this game hard? - Yes Does it have a steep learning curve? - Yes Can it be Very frustrating at times? - YES! Have I told all my friends, my girlfriend and my dog about how much i'm enjoying this game so far?! YES However! The is nothing quite like this out there, for an early access it has so much potential. It did take me a good two days of youtube tutorials to get my head around some of the nitty gritty details, but its so worth it! I can't wait to see what happens in the future with this game. I'm a huge tank nerd, having spent my latest holiday in the Tank museum in Bovington. So being able to mix and match all tanks from different nations to make some sort of hybrid is such a great feature along with the management and time factor can really catch you off guard at times! For anyone who has given this a bad review, I agree its not perfect, it is early access after all. But give it your time and learn the mechanics and its such a time sync you'll not regret

Game consistently gets meaningful updates, both in game function/ QOl and content. Unfortunately the first part(s) of a run are the least unique, and does not allow for too much experimentation. Besides that its very fun to play

Well , when i am writing this, i have more then 75 hours of game play and i must say, it one of the last true tycoon games, you build, you R&D and you spy, this game not only worth the money in my mind (i don't remember the last time i enjoyed something for more then 70 hours for this price . The devs are very responsive on discord and here and gives you a good vibe of "family" project and for me it also very very important . now about the game loop: 1. research parts for tank 2. plan tank 3. build tank 4. ?????? 5. profit! sounds simple right? well in its core it is, but build bad tank, you lose, you don't manage you money right you lose, losing here (even on the mid difficulty) is likely, making it for me a good balance, otherwise it is too easy to steamroll the completion and the game. things i would improve: 1. bring back the tank fights (in the demo you have ability to see you tank in battle, not just drive/shoot it alone) 2. they are working on more content all the time, because of this when they release a huge update (like they did 2 months ago) it is better to start from the start then from the point you started because the values of research and such are inflated to not finish so fast 3. i wish there was a real game impact for all the diplomacy and conquest done right now in the game ( it planned for the future but i want it now! so all the bad stuff are actually fixable and they working hard on making this game happen. if you have an itch for tycoon game, this is it, and go for it!

I love this game. It's a management game closest to games like Frostpunk, Farthest Frontier, Railway Empire, Solaris kind of thing. There's very little to see in terms of moving parts. You won't be driving your tanks around the battlefields of Europe while shells whistle past your ears. You spend nearly all of your time switching from the generic factory screen to the individual screens of the various buildings in your factory - R&D, Engineering, Production etc. In fact, the only "gamey" bit - where you drive the tanks you've created around a test track - is the weakest part of the whole game. I stopped doing that pretty quickly (it's not compulsory). At first, I thought this was too complex, but actually it really isn't once you suss out the R-E-D order of doing things - Research your part, Engineer the various parts together, Design the whole tank. And there are possibly thousands of ways of designing hundreds of components with which you can make an infinite number of types of dozens of different tank models. There is challenge too. The economy ticks along, and you have to make a profit, but maybe the countries which put out the contracts don't like your carefully designed tin can. There's something brutal about spending an age R-E-Ding your tank, only to see the guys you're trying to sell it to rank it as less than useless. But with practice comes perfection - or at least production which is good enough to start making money. And with money comes upgrades to your factory, more raw materials, engineers to speed up your processes, more workers, and presumably a big fat cigar in the virtual boardroom. Above all, this game has that "one-more-turn" catch which drags you in to just fulfilling one more contract, or designing that medium tank you think would be your next big seller. And suddenly it's 2am. Bugger. I recommend this.

TLDR: Promising start with a lot of potential on a solid foundation. Scratches an itch I wasn't aware I had. This has been one of the better Tycoon experiences I've had in a long time and I can see myself losing days of time should the simulation expand upon what they already have here. Positives: -In-depth Design of tanks, with a plethora of parts and customization options that gradually ramps up as wars pass. -Tanks you sell will be used in combat and essentially graded on performance. Poor performance affects your ability to negotiate future contracts. -Ability to steal other companies(or countries) tank designs. Implementing their tech into your own. -You get to Test Drive your designs. -The core game-play loop is satisfying and fun. Really additional eras will only make this game better. With the escalation of tech comes an increase in scale which will elevate the experience. Mehs: -Resource Management and Procurement could use more thought. Right now it's simple, you just order the resources you need and as long as you steadily order stuff, seems like you'll never run out. I find myself only ever ordering from Africa as it's the cheapest and margins can start to become thin. It may bring more depth to the simulation if you're able to create contracts with resource companies or even governments for resource procurement. -Currently, you're really only able to play for Britain (At least in the 5 hours I put in during my first playthrough). -Money seems tight in the early game. This may change with future eras but I find it hard to believe that a company selling weapons to a government during wartime barely makes enough to pay the bills year over year. I think the contracts should award more but losing out on a contract should ultimately be more impactful. Again, this may change in the later game so it could just be the "demo" experience we are seeing in it's current state. Negatives: -Limited content. This is definitely the most noticeable part of this game as it stands in Early Access. With the imminent release of the interwar period, I'm ready to jump back in for some more content.
