Fun! It is fun to dive into every now and again but I always find myself stopping after an hour or so. It has a lot going for it but it still needs something more and I just cant put my finger on it, maybe more upgrading or more depth. But well worth the price.

Played both campaign and sandbox. Game play could get a bit busy as you progress. More workers you hire, busier you get. Still, totally recommended.

It's cute, quirky, and fun. The references are hilarious and the pixel art top notch. Some parts require you have workbenches and facilities on a pretty tight schedule though, so don't get complacent or you'll fall behind *real* quick.

I've actually never reviewed a game before but felt the Anvil Saga Team really deserve the thumbs up on this, especially as I think the recent 'mixed' review rating is unfair after the Christmas update yesterday which seems to have fixed the major issues. TLDR: Worth it now the bugs are fixed, especially if you're the type to support a small team. Get it on sale if you're worried about the price tag, but you're missing out if you skip over this little gem. CONS: -The 'assistant choice' isn't clear that they will leave if you support the other side. In fact, one of the descriptions actually says something like 'they are french but will follow you whatever you choose', which then they don't. The game can then gat a lot harder and will likely catch new players out on their first play through. -It's still needing some polishing and I hit loads of bugs. This actually has made me need to restart a few times... PROS: -...BUT literally every bug I've had an issue with has been fixed almost straight away. I brought it right at the beginning and almost gave up at first but I'm so glad I didn't. Each time all I've needed to do is hang around for a few days and the next update has fixed whatever issue I've been having. -The game was only released in November and it's a small team who have clearly poured their heart into this great little game. -After the Christmas Update I think it's in pretty good shape so don't be too worried about previous bad reviews. They are still working hard on it and clearly taking lots of feedback from the community. As long as they keep that up, I think the price tag is worth it as the replayability is getting better and better. -Can be as relaxing or as challenging as you would like it to be. -Great for 100% achievement hunters and a lot of fun to purposefully mess things up
