For $3 the game is surprisingly thorough, there are many forms of making money in the game but most are based on crafting some resource into something better by the end of the game. Some are better than others in regards to time and effort but can mostly still work just as well. I enjoyed messing around with different strategies throughout my time and it is surprisingly entertaining. The only issues with the game that I can see currently one or two QoL improvements which are not that bad, and the late term achievements for the game are virtually impossible to get without free play mode. One thing I will note is that this is a good game for achievement hunting if you feel like skipping the normal gameplay reset loop and just max out stats on free play. This game on low difficulties is simply a lot of fun, but if you feel like taking a challenge there is always hard and ultimate difficulty which will remove most of the fun, but the challenge for people like me on that is totally worth it. What I really mean to say after all of this is the game is $3 just buy it.

This game desperately wants nothing to do with roguelikes while claiming to be one. It's actually closer to a harvest moon with a Recettear-like goal to make money or lose. Really unbalanced in the favor of the player. You'd be hard pressed not to stumble on a combination of events and abilities that makes the game a walk in the park an hour in... and the entire run will likely take 4-6 hours even if you say fuck it and stop doing unnecessary things and only do the most profitable thing. Lacks QoL things that should be there because they're that obvious and on top of that it adds limited inventory juggling for artificial difficulty. It's not that deep. You can play through 2-3 times and put it down forever.

It's fun. I'm kinda stupid so some things were hard to figure out but I recommend it. It's simple but requires some attention and management. you need to actually plan ahead (or don't and struggle lol) 10/10 considering I play really easy (no challenges and normally 5-6 week rent. maybe I'll try smth a little harder because it gets easily repetitive when you play like this lol). I like the graphics too. Very simple and great colors, easy to look at for hours at a time. Controls are fairly straightforward (somethings were hard to figure out like splitting a stack. Nothing you can't find out quick though)

I recommend Another Farm Roguelike with words of caution: it's not that polished, is missing several quality of life features, and can get tedious in the late game. The developer is currently working on Another Farm Roguelike: Rebirth, so I don't expect this one to receive any updates. Still, it's worth the $3 if you are intrigued by the idea, and it's a steal on sale. It took me 10-12 hours (excluding the time I left it idling in the background) to complete two runs-- one on easy difficulty and one on medium difficulty. I'd like to try a hard difficulty run one day, but the game loop became tedious towards the end and I feel burnt out on it for now. Still, I'm satisfied with what I got for my buck fifty. I'm looking forward to Another Farm Roguelike's sequel, which I hope will have a smoother user experience and address some of the flaws in its predecessor.

great value for the money. it's basically a mini-stardew valley, where you can finish the game in a 3-5 hours sitting. I prefer this option when I don't feel like putting in hundreds of hours towards one Stardew Valley run
