This game desperately wants nothing to do with roguelikes while claiming to be one. It's actually closer to a harvest moon with a Recettear-like goal to make money or lose. Really unbalanced in the favor of the player. You'd be hard pressed not to stumble on a combination of events and abilities that makes the game a walk in the park an hour in... and the entire run will likely take 4-6 hours even if you say fuck it and stop doing unnecessary things and only do the most profitable thing. Lacks QoL things that should be there because they're that obvious and on top of that it adds limited inventory juggling for artificial difficulty. It's not that deep. You can play through 2-3 times and put it down forever.

I recommend Another Farm Roguelike with words of caution: it's not that polished, is missing several quality of life features, and can get tedious in the late game. The developer is currently working on Another Farm Roguelike: Rebirth, so I don't expect this one to receive any updates. Still, it's worth the $3 if you are intrigued by the idea, and it's a steal on sale. It took me 10-12 hours (excluding the time I left it idling in the background) to complete two runs-- one on easy difficulty and one on medium difficulty. I'd like to try a hard difficulty run one day, but the game loop became tedious towards the end and I feel burnt out on it for now. Still, I'm satisfied with what I got for my buck fifty. I'm looking forward to Another Farm Roguelike's sequel, which I hope will have a smoother user experience and address some of the flaws in its predecessor.

great value for the money. it's basically a mini-stardew valley, where you can finish the game in a 3-5 hours sitting. I prefer this option when I don't feel like putting in hundreds of hours towards one Stardew Valley run

this game is wonderfully perfect, its stardew valley without the social aspect, happy sheepies without the violent sheep death, i can farm, craft, mine, fish. i love this game to bits. played several hours in one sitting until like four am and didnt want to stop. The dev has been really nice and helped me to fix an issue with the game displaying an error upon launch

I got this on sale for $0.89 USD and considering the price, it really isn't a bad game. The main issue that a lot of people are complaining about it the interactions with some of the buildings and materials in game. Most people playing will have experience from other farming games and will use what the logic from those games here. My suggestion to anyone starting this game is to try out the infinite mode first and look at some of the basic guides to the buildings other players have posted. Once you see how things are a little different from other farming games, you'll see it's actually easy. That being said, even at full price this game is only $3.00 USD so you should adjust expectations accordingly lol. It's great for just zoning out and clicking on things, watching your numbers/money go up.
